Talcum powder isn't safe to use -- BUT hold up! This is a wayyyyy better replacement, anyways! This is one of my go-to toiletry items - it's perfect if you are using the powder for a babies bottom, or - in my case - to help out with sweats as a result from hot flashes! I bought this talc free powder because I was disappointed in Johnson + Johnson for lying about asbestos in their talcum powder (even though i had been buying their cornstarch talc free powder). I wanted to love this product but the texture was not as silky soft as J+J cornstarch - I could have overlooked the texture, but not the scent used in Burt's Bees product - it was awful - medicinal and yucky. I tossed out the remaining 2 unopened containers and the partially used 3rd one - could not get beyond the smell. I have returned to using Johnson + Johnson cornstarch powder. Read more

Use a lot of 'dusting powder' to be more comfortable. Switched to Burt's Bees to try it and I really like it. It has a very pleasant smell and not the baby powder smell. It does a great job at keeping areas dry and odor free like under the breasts etc. I usually put it on before bed and if it's really hot out I may put some on during the day but that's rare. I've now ordered it several times and continue to prefer it over others I've tried. Read more

This is the only powder we will use! We honestly don’t use powder that much. We only use it every now and then if we notice any diaper rash starting accompanied with ointment. I ran out of this and have trouble finding it easily in my area. I had some 100% cornstarch Johnson’s brand powder and used that in the mean time. I started noticing that my little girl was itching like crazy during diaper changes and baths. I stopped using the Johnsons and ordered this from amazon. I’m not going back to Johnson’s EVER! It's too cheap to bother returning or I would, instead of throwing it away. The smell is just indescribable. It's one of the most offensive odors you can even imagine. Must have been modeled after one of those hanging car things - the vomiting cake scent. No, it most absolutely does NOT smell like baby powder, and for the love of God, do not put this on your kid! The scent is just not something a man wants to smell like. Great scent for a woman. My wife loved the feel of it. Big fan of Burts Bees products. Their lip balm is second to none. Any guy reading this that wants a cornstarch non-talc body powder will be very happy with Gold Bond Ultimate in the whole container. Definitely a scent a man would be comfortable with. There is another Gold Bond cornstarch non-talc body powder out there. It is in a brown/bronze container. I like the idea behind using an organic version of baby powder but this particular product was not very good. The powder did not feeling fine enough. When I put it oldI have patches of powder clumping. I had to smooth it out a bit more. The scent is not great. I some how accidentally got some in my mouth and noticed a salty taste... not good!!Will try to finish it off since I did pay roughly $8 for it. Will most likely not buy it again. Read more

This stinks like the worst old lady perfume! I think they meant for the fragrance to smell like honey, but instead it smells like cheap floral car freshener. The bad smell does not dilute once you put it on.I read the Amazon reviews that said people were using Burts Bees under arms and other places. It does not work as well as the old school talcum powder you can still get from Johnson and Johnson. Unfortunately, the JJ brand has been linked to cancer. But the Burt's Bee's stuff smells like cheap perfume and does not work. I don't think I would buy either. Read more

This product is great but seriously expensive plus I was charged an additional £12 import duty/admin fee to get the parcel (with no obvious way of getting my money back at that point as it was stuck at the local post office). This made for a whopping £15 for a small tub of baby powder and as much as I love the product, that is ridiculous so I won’t be ordering from Amazon again. This is a surprisingly big bottle of powder. I used this on baby’s bottom when she was newborn in the summer. This kept her dry and her skin never got irritated.I wanted something with natural ingredients as I didn’t want any chemicals on my little one. Not as fine or a silky as baby talc, yes I am reviewing as a grown up for use on myself. But hey you're probably reading this because you don't want to use talc due to health scares so in my book this is perfect and will definitely buy again as very nice to use and priced ok for comparable products.
