I have a regular Buff. This thing is garbage. They just took a piece of fabric and sewed it to make a tube. Meaning the ends of the tube are unfinished.The regular Buff is still essentially a piece of fabric that it sewn on one side to make a tube but they at least folded over the ends and sewed it to make a finished end.This thing is just going to unravel.Amazon took over a month to ship this cause of the pandemic and sent me clearly a returned one as well. The Buff comes with some packaging, a cardbord cutout it's wrapped around. This just came in a plastic baggie. You can see a seam. It also smells weird. Read more

Maybe three stars is a tad unfair but I don't like my buff... I'm not returning it but I> Don't. Like .It!But sadly I only have myself to blame. I was soo excited when I saw the "new" buff available hereafter getting an email from Buff that I foolishly snapped it up into my cart w/out reading the important detailsabout how this new headbands were made. Otherwise I would have stopped myself from purchasing it. I've disliked it everything I first felt it weird texture as a small child and I dislike it til this day. A lightweight headband that is far too large and far too expensive for what you get in return. I have a lot of hair and wear an xl hat in most cases and found this headband too big.The material is soft and I like the muted pattern, but at nearly 10 inches wide, there is simply too much material for the head band to stay in place.Even if I fold it over to make the band portion more narrow, it is simply too wide to stay in place.I would not recommend and would not purchase again. This Buff is shorter than a full length Buff gaiter (about 1/2) and longer than the 3” headbands.This size Buff is great for use as a mask when outdoors hiking or walking in my neighborhood (I use multi-layered sewn masks for indoors). It is soft on my face and stays up nicely.I also use it as a headband, folded narrowly or unfolded if my hair is a real mess ;)I wash my Buff gear (I have many) using the hand wash or delicate cycle on my washer and hang dry. They have stood up to multiple washes without issue.I highly recommend Buff headgear for its quality and versatility (although good luck finding one during the pandemic...). Read more

I love Buff headbands and have a real "issue" buying them (I can't stop!). This is the first that I purchased of the "coolnet" series and I am really happy that I did! It is lightweight even when doubled in half and really does keep you cool. The fabric also feels nice too the touch which is important to me. I use this as a skullcap to wear under my mountain bike helmet but they are more versatile than that. You can also use it for neck protection. These actually fit better because of the size than the standard size Buffs for that application specifically. I wear these under trucker style caps when fishing in the Colorado sun. They also are great to wear under a cap when you're working out. They keep your head cool, absorb perspiration and protect your skin from UV damage. Love my Buffs, can't recommend them enough. Unfortunately it is my fault but I was ordering a neck gaiter to keep sun off, as well as usable during cold weather over my face when driving the boat into the wind and light sea spray. But I ordered the wrong product. The result? Now I have a nice headband and I ordered the correct product after the fact from the same manufacture. Read more

You don't get much for your money but it is made from some seriously nice material despite being incredibly thin. Not great if you sweat a lot... I've been mostly using it as an ear warmer for the first km or 2 then I pull it down to become more of a neck gaiter. I bought this based on reviews I had read that suggested that it was appropriate for those who sweat a lot during workouts. I was skeptical when it arrived because it is a very thin material. And my reservations were correct.This is fine for light workouts and light perspiration but within 25 minutes of a heavy workout the material was completely saturated.Maybe there are other buffs of different material???
