Ok, here’s a real review from an expert tanner. I have tried drug store tanners to Sephora tanners to high-end tanners like Loving Tan. This stuff is gold! I think some of the bad reviews might be from people that don’t know what they are doing.First of all, NEVER WAIT JUST AN HOUR for any self tanner. I don’t care what the bottle says. I don’t care if it’s a $7 bottle or $100. You need to wait 8 hours for results. Beauty is pain people!Second, as a person who likes to be 10 shades darker I am VERY hard to please. I like to be very dark so most tanners do not cut it for me. I chronically do 2-3 applications for one tanning session. I wait for one application to dry for 5 minutes and then apply 1-2 more. Even then some self tanners do not cut it for me. Tan AF tanner is definitely a beautiful darker color. I was shocked that a $10-$14 bottle could achieve a fairly dark color. My one complaint is that it was 3 applications to achieve the results in the photo but I love the color.Third, people have complained about this coming off of sheets or the grey color (second photo). Omg. That’s just silly to me. The grey color gave me BEAUTIFUL dark color without a hint of orange. Tan AF nailed it in the color department. I’m not a golden tan. I’m a deep dark brownish tan. Incredible. I wore it all night. Very little depositing of color on sheets or clothes, which is awesome. They use very little bronzer in their solution. Two thumbs up from me.Fourth, it dries so quickly. I’ve had sooooo many self tanners be sticky as hell and annoying to have on for 8 hours. This stuff dries fast with no sticky residue feeling!!! Amen to that! And for the first time ever....there is virtually no scent. No other tanner has achieved that! Impressive.Fifth, the price is awesome. You can grab this at Walmart for $10. That’s amazing even if I apply 3 times. The bottle is a great size. Not too small but not on the large side either. I freaking love this stuff. Give it a try!! And, make sure that the week before application you are heavily moisturized, shower and exfoliate right before application, and wait the full 8 hours!! Read more

OK, yes, as per the comments below it comes out of the bottle and initially onto your skin greenish/grayish but if you wait 2 mins or even better ONE HOUR which is what its called.... you will literally have the best tan and this will be the best fake tan you've ever had.... To begin with, I am paper white. Some would say translucent. I get sunburnt in the shade. So now that I've set the scene, here is my experience and questionable methodology.I followed the directions on the bottle... mostly. I applied with a mit and waited just the 9 minutes in my nude glory holding a ridiculous position (my fellow top heavy ladies will know what I mean). And then rinsed off for probably two minutes. Even with over double the rinsing time, I had a nice light golden tan develop. For those of you who are reading through these reviews trying to determine if a 9 minute tan is even possible, let me tell you, it is.Here are some things to be aware of:If you are looking for a shocking difference after first application go with a product that has a longer sit/develop time.The shade of tan is incredibly natural. Definitely would buy again as it’s one of the best self tanning products I’ve ever usedYou get a couple shades darker the second you put it on your skin, and you gradually get even darker over the next few hoursIt doesn’t wash off in the shower either like most tanners, it won’t rub off onto your clothing and it last longer than anything I’ve ever used coming from a DIY tan At homeIt has a slight light smell to it which smells like brown sugar (the typical self tan smell) but if you follow the directions on the bottle which say to apply to your body -then to shower in a few hours after application, the smell will wash away but not your tanI have a tendency to apply too much self tanner in the colder months due to the fact I get way too pale for my liking, and because of that my skin starts to look dirty bc I’ll continue put layers of tanner on over the older tan from last week without exfoliating my skin to rub off the old tan, making it so it looks like I have dirt all over -especially on my neck. But with this tanner I don’t have that problem ! I’m not needing to apply so much if it to achieve the tan I’m looking for, plus it absorbs well into my skin and when it starts to fade it does so evenly instead of in blotches.Also it doesn’t make me orange in the slightest so there’s no fake tan look at all. People have noticed I look tanner but I’ve been asked if I went to the tanning bed bc of the natural brown tan this tanner gives. Though it can almost be too brown, there’s no orange to it at all which I feel depending on your skin type a little orange is necessary bc the brown can almost make my pale skin look dirty, especially on my face. Once I get a little tan from the sun though, then I used this, it didn’t seem to do that. So for anyone with pale skin I would suggest trying a different tanner With a different tint to it bc I don’t think the tint of dark brown this gives would be what you’d want. All and all I would recommend this product though bc it’s definitely worth the try and I will be buying again. I would just recommend to buy a sea salt scrub to exfoliate in the shower with as it’s the best to remove any dead skin you need too in order to get a long lasting even tan. Also don’t forget to buy a tanning mit to avoid orange hands and get the best even tan across your entire body.I’ve done 4 applications from head to toe since buying and I still have over half the bottle left. I went from ginger pale white to brown. I am brown. Not orange. I am brown. I was almost embarrassed to come to bed because I came out of the bathroom an entire different colour. And it’s got an olive undertone, so plus for not looking like an oompa loompa. No smell either. Don’t sit on plastic while applying, may have some discolouration where nobody will see anyways. ONLY LISTEN TO THIS REVIEW lolThis tanner is great! And I've used many expensive and cheap tanners before.To start I am Caucasian with a medium skin tone, I tan naturally easy but living in Canada with the winter and covid shutting down tanning salons I was not going to give up.Since I like a dark tan I used 2 coats the first day and left in on for 6 hours (I prefer to apply on a weekend morning instead of sleeping with it so I don't make my sheets dirty, just walk around with tanner on for a day its fine) it dried fast and didn't get on everything I touched. I highly recommend using a tanning mitt otherwise your hands will be f*cked. If your a beginner here is what you need to remember; add lotion to your knees and elbows so the tanner won't stick as well, that way you won't get dark spots on these dryer areas of skin; use a mitt; I recommend using it on your face but ONLY to add contour, like makeup, on cheekbones, chin, etc, don't put it around your eyes; if you get it on your hands, wash immediately! And also let dry for 15-20min before putting on clothes.The first pic is my 2rd application (I do one a week) the second is after I washed it off, and the third pick is my pasty ass prior. This tanner does have a slight orangey under tone so if you carry those tones in your skin already, apply once and leave for a couple hours to test. AWESOME product, and affordable. This fake tan does have a green undertone but that helps it look a lot more natural. I found that the tan dried quicker than most and although has a fake tan smell, its not as strong as most brands once washed off. I put two coats on as this is a 1 hour tan so doesn’t develop as dark as normal 8 hour tans. Overall it’s even, covered and not irritated my dry skin, is even and not dark on places like my hands and feet so I’d recommend 100% - best tan I’ve tried so far. Read more

I normally love B TAN and i buy the others frequently, however this one wasnt the same, it didnt actually leave me very brown even when it was left on overnight, the other makes in this brand do, so maybe i got a dodgy one, but other than that same quality from b tan. Read more
