A big girl feel without sacrificing safety! My daughter is 6 and has been begging to get out of her “baby” harness style car seat. Reluctantly I decided to try this car seat. We have used other backed booster seats for easier installation when traveling with grandparents. This Britax Skyline 2 Booster is not even comparable to those. First thing you will notice is that it is significantly heavier than the standard boosters. There is substance to is and is more than cheap plastic with a cushion! The seat has a lot more padding and cushion for a more comfortable ride.Out of the box it is in two parts. The bottom seat and the back. It was easy to clip the two parts together. Many boosters simply sit on your car seat, but these have an extra safety feature and clip on the metal anchors that come standard in most car seats. It has a push button release (like on a seatbelt buckle) making it easy to remove and switch to a different car. The booster is very secure in the seat and does not shift or wiggle around. As an adult, it is only slightly too snug when I sit in it. I learned from the fire department that when securing a car seat of any type it was best to put as much weight in the car seat when clipping in the car anchors. Most I could only kneel in, but I could fit in this booster, so am sure my daughter will always fit and this will be our last car seat. The booster uses the car’s seatbelt like most others. There is a loop that holds the seatbelt in the proper height position on my daughters shoulder. You can adjust the shoulder strap and headrest height easily with a button behind the headrest. It’s in a convenient place for adjustments, but not the best spot for carrying it. It is the place you would naturally grab to carry the car seat. It makes it harder to carry it with one hand, but not impossible. I like that it has a clip that holds the seatbelt in the perfect position for safety and it also makes it easier for my daughter to reach. She has no problems buckling herself in. The bottom belt doesn’t go tight against her waist and protects her hips with its unique design. As it is designed, the car seat would take most of the impact. It also has protection on the side that most other boosters do not have. I never thought a booster could offer so much protection.This Britax booster also has removable drink/snack holders and washable fabric for convenience. Overall it’s a great booster. Sure you can get a cheaper car seat but I promise it won’t offer the same safety and comfort this one does. When it comes to your child’s safety and when it could mean life or death it’s pretty priceless. If you can afford this car seat it is well worth the money and the peace of mind that my daughter is as protected as she could possibly be and what is more important than that? Read more

It's a nice seat. Very lightweight which is nice compared to my other Britax. Easy to assemble, latch clips to hold it in place but does not have a top tether, which im not happy about, because the seat tips over when turning in the car. I don't have the box anymore so I cannot return and get something else. Good, nice seat for the buy just not happy about the tipping. If you have a bigger child, I would not recommend. I have a hard time when it comes to baby products and am the type to try it all to see which is right. Unfortunately where we live we don't have many options for baby stores so I have to purchase them, try it, and then return them. When both my daughters needed the next size up, we went right to see what BRITAX was offering. This booster was one of the best we found. We purchased this to fit our 49in tall son in the Volvo XC90 (2017 model). This booster does not work for this car as the headrest in the backseat has a slight forward tilt that is not adjustable. This prevents the seat from sitting flat against the cars seat back when the headrest is extended to fit the kid. The extended headrest in this Britax seat is so flimsy, I don’t see how it would provide any extra protection in a crash. It does appear to be comfy for sleeping though. My sister got a cheap booster seat for her son, But it was awful for long trips. I got this seat for him and he LOVES it. So comfortable and it is a lot safer for him.
