I work out 4-5 times a week and lift pretty heavy. I found personally this supplement helps give me the ability to go harder at the gym and get into "beast mode" a little easier with my reps and my sets. When I run out or forget to take them (usually an hour before my workout with water and food) I notice its a little harder to "break the plane" and REALLY get into my lift. I have been supplementing with tribulus for a number of years now, running one month cycles of it fairly consistently. Of course, everyone responds differently to any kind of supplement. However, for me, tribulus is one of those fairly rare supplements that you can actually FEEL the effect of. The trick is finding one that has a high enough concentration of it to be effective.Prior to this tribulus product from BRI, the best one I had used had 80% steroidal saponins and 40% protodioscin . This is actually far better than most and was a solid product. However, BRI has a whopping 95% steroidal saponins and 80% protodioscin. The results are noticeable. I take it about 45 minutes prior to working out along with my pre workout shake. I feel that it provides an extra boost and bit more strength for my workouts. Additionally, it provides a very slight boost in my body composition (ratio of muscle to fat). I know this is the case as when I have used it I see increased vascularity. If "very slight" sounds unimpressive, think again. There are precious few supplements that have any positive effect whatsoever and NONE that will do anything if you have a crappy diet and lifestyle. However, a high quality tribulus product is one of the few that can help augment your efforts. BTW, a bonus of BRI's tribulus is it comes at a fraction of the cost of the other tribulus product I had been using.One last note- I have become aware in recent years that there are a lot of 18-27 year-olds using various testosterone boosting supplements like tribulus. Unless you have uncovered through blood work from your doctor that you are one of the rare few men in this age range that have unusually low T levels, there is little reason to be using a T booster. Seems to work for me, I'm healing faster, building more lean muscle... The mood swings and excess acne are not a plus...but my body adapted to the extra T in about 2 weeks. It seems to be a good product to keep your hormone levels up if you are some who lifts in excess of 6hrs a week....you need a little something to help replenish what you are using up...I think for me this will be the answer for now. Having spent over $400 a month in the past for sups when I was bodybuilding.... Now that I'm just starting fit...this is a cheap alternative. A bcaa and some glutamine would be added with a high protein low carb and sugar diet to optimize results for building...
