I have shopped several different brands of Tea Tree shampoo over the years. Paul Mitchell has been the standard best but is expensive! I decided to try this brand because it was priced fairly.The product arrived quickly. This formula is a clear type where the other knock offs were more similar to a light lime cream.The first thing I noticed is that even though it says it has peppermint and Tea Tree oil, I could barely detect either scent. Some people might like that. In addition, no matter how much I use or how long I keep it in, there is NO tingle! Since this is expected of tea tree products I can only say the amount in the formula must be very low.Hair products are a matter of personal taste but I prefer my shampoo to be more robust. So the product is advertised as a "Tea Tree" scented/based concoction that is supposed to help with dry itchy scalp, and/or flakes. #1 Positive: received product reasonably fast #2 Negative: Although I received it in a timely manner, the bottle was leaking and was covered in the product itself. #3 Negative: I immediately noticed that the consistency seems a little on the thin side, and that it takes ALOT to make a lather. I fight psorisis, dandruff, fungus infections, and oily scalp conditions. I get really bad itch from most shampoos and I've given up on every off-the-shelf cheap piece of garbage I've tried. I've learned over time that these tea tree shampoos are perfect for sensitive scalp issues based on many years of using Regis Tea Tree Shampoo and additional reading. In a pinch, I decided to try this one. The price felt high for the quantity and cost so I use it sparingly. I was pretty impressed after initial use of just a few times though... I got no itch, irritation or dandruff from it, but it's early to tell yet. It did not leave my scalp oily. I enjoy the very slight tingle from the tea tree extract (and other additives) but it does not compare to the Regis which I understand has been discontinued or reformulated. This product smells great. It's not a moisturizing shampoo to me at least. Another reviewer mentioned it makes your hair squeaky clean and it absolutely leaves that feeling. I added extra pharmaceutical grade tea tree oil for more of an antifungal effect to it. I would not reccomend for daily use. I've used two body wash for some time because it strips the natural oil from your skin and allows new oil to appear.Same for this shampoo. I have natural oily hair and this removes the oil allowing the hair to rejuvenate and produce new oils daily. Makes for a healthier scalp i'm sure also. Read more
