Also, when you put the packs in the freezer, they stay cold for quite a while, but they're not flexible until they've been out of the freezer for several minutes.***Original review:I was happy to find these as a way to offer a tactile game for fidgety hands as well as a way to treat boo-boos instead of using plain ice.The narwhals are great, and there was a larger, bonus pack included, too.The shooting stars and flamingos did not have an ideal design as they squeak when squeezed and the liquid inside isn't secure. This is not ideal for kids who might ingest the inside pieces by accident. I bought these intending to use them as "boo boo ice packs" as the description says. But, besides the green one, they are not realistically usable for that purpose. They are simply too small to serve any purpose. The green one is 5.5" x 3". I suppose maybe you could hold the smaller ones on a single ant bite.That said, my child was quick to claim them as toys. She is having fun squishing them (and as she quickly found out, the balls in the pack can completely smoosh and they do not regain their shape). So, at least the 9 tiny pieces are good for amusement. In this set you get 10 pieces total. These are perfect for children. They take about 15 to 20 minutes to freeze. My children are always getting small boo boos. These are perfect for elbows, knees, all the small little areas that just need a little cold pack.There is one big one that is perfect for headaches or as a cold compress. I can be a klutz in the kitchen at times and despite owning oven mitts and potholders, I occasionally manage to get small burn. These nifty little cold packs are easy to keep in the freezer (I keep the more useful sizes in a zipper bag) and can be quickly retrieved. I like that unlike ice they don’t drip water. So no messes. They do seem to warm up rather quickly - but that’s due to their small size. A few of the shapes I don’t find that useful. But I do find most of them practical. Read more

When my kids were little we had a ‘boo boo bear’. It was a little bear shaped ice pack for when they needed a little coolness on a bump or what not. So when I saw these I thought they would be cute for my granddaughter.However, I was surprised at how really teeny tiny they are. Most of them were so small that I think they are pretty useless. I got set J and only one, the one with a helicopter, was a decent size. I did not feel the tiny size would be good for small hands to manipulate. Read more

I’ve been looking for a set of these for a long time specifically for cystic acne. These tend to soothe it when it’s the most painful. I was happy to stumble onto these.A few are so small I’m not sure I’ll be able to use, but the others are the perfect size for what I need. No issues so far. I do think they could do away with the shooting stars though and replace with usable sized items. One star docked for that. Otherwise the functionality seems great! Read more
