The reviews are pretty mixed on these pins so here is my opinion. I have extremely long thick hair and always have trouble finding bobby pins that are durable enough and strong enough to hold my hair without using so many that I have literally set off a metal detector. Do you have any idea how many bobby pins it takes to set off a metal detector? These pins are amazing, I can messy bun my hair with 3-4 pins and it holds all day. I was out on a motorcycle and these pins kept my hair exactly where I wanted it. I use them every day and still haven't had to throw any of them away for being warped and no longer functioning. I love these pins and when I finally have to replace the ones I have, I will absolutely buy these again.Side Note: The case these came in is very sturdy and I can toss it right in my purse with no issues. These are lovely pins that come in a nice sturdy clear box, but they do not work well with my thick hair. They twist and do not open easily. I am so sad as I wanted to use them to pull my hair up in the summer heat. Read more

These pins catch on my fine hair and break off several hairs when taking them out. They are also very hard to open enough to use. They are sturdy, and the color is right, but they are worse than useless for me. This is my second order of Amazon pins with this problem. I have bobby pins from over sixty years ago that don't snag my hair, but they are the wrong color for me now. Where can one buy decent bobby pins that don't snag hair in the joint between the pin and the end coating. Read more

This is my second purchase in two weeks for bobby pins. These are awesome! I ordered another brand (Goody) and had to throw them away (nonreturnable) because they snagged (broke) my hair. This brand keeps my bangs that I am growing out in place all day without any problem. I'm super excited I found some that wound destroy my hair. I can just say - WOW. I have thick long hair and usually bobby pins can’t hold my hair well. When watching hair tutorials I would see women just secure their hair with bobby pins, that used to make me laugh because that never would hold my hair. Other bobby pins would get deformed or slip right out of my hair, not mentioning that I would have to adjust them throughout the day. This weekend I tried to secure my high bun with these bobby pins and not even one of them moved! I didn’t have to adjust any of them. Very impressed. None of them even got deformed.
