There is a bit of a gap between our first two kids and our most recent addition so our BOB experiences have ranged from VERY early models via hand me downs to the 2012 BOB duallie (which I have fond memories of). More recently, I've been using a different model jogging stroller and while I won't name that one, just know that the BOB is winning hands down and... it's a pretty sweet ride (seriously, we just updated our car to a third row mom-mobile and I'm more excited about this stroller than I am about the car). I'm going to talk about the improvements to the BOB but just know that my first two kids are 8 and 10 so we're talking a fairly size-able time difference between the BOB models I've used so I'm mostly comparing it to those as well as my most recent jogging stroller (anyone else not a fan of the word "jog" just me? Ok then). Here we go.SeatingFirst of all, I LOVE that this stroller can sit all the way up. My 9 month son loves it too. To be honest, I didn't even realize how far back he was in our old stroller until we had a few comments about happy he looked to be sitting up and when I parked them side by side, I could see the huge difference in seat angles. The seat adjustment is SO much easier on this model. You just squeeze the back piece and use the straps to get the angle you are looking for. Just make sure to be aware to not bunch the seat material in front of the seat versus near the top. My first go, it looked like my 9 month old had not much head room and since he's a whopping 14% on the growth charts at the moment (ok probably for life, we're not a tall family), I knew I had to have done something wrong. The seatbelt is super easy to use. The seatbelt is a a vast improvement over all the other models I've used...so many pinched fingers (my fingers, not the baby's). There are two little pockets for snacks on the inside. I love pockets, my son loves pockets, everyone loves pockets.CanopyThis is HUGE, when the canopy is fully down, only teeny tiny toes stick out and that is going to be great when it is actually sunny and I can take my son for longer runs. It has UP 50 fabric and there is a vented opening up top as well as a clear vinyl window that you can see your little passenger. Excellent for playing peekaboo.HandlebarThe handlebar is adjustable! I know that is the whole deal with the flex and with this being the 3.0, I'm late to the game, but the handle is adjustable! 10. That is the amount of times, I adjusted it because I had to show everyone. My daughters, my husband, myself...sorry I was amused! I'm not tall, I have T-Rex proportioned arms and I'm a happy girl that I can drop the grip nice and low when I run. My poor shoulders were not having it with a taller bar.Pockets!Have I mentioned my love of pockets? I know I have but there are even more pockets for me to love. There is a little pocket on the back of the canopy with a zip that fit my phone (iPhone 11Pro in case you are trying to guess sizes). There are little stretch pockets in the back, there is a very generously sized basket. There is another zip pocket on the back as well. Would I still add a handlebar addition? Maybe? I run with a hydration vest so honestly, the pockets on the stroller may be enough to stock the kiddo with snacks and toys and diapers to do a long excursion. If you prefer a bottle, you may want to get one to put your drink within reach. Otherwise, it is very nicely equipped on the pocket situation.ManeuverabilityIt is SO easy to steer. I don't think I realized how heavy my older stroller was until I took BOB for a spin and realized how much easier it was on my shoulders (carrying an almost 20 lb person around all day can leave a bit of a strain). I could actually use just one hand to guide it around and it felt so light. I had been avoiding taking the kiddo out on my longer runs because it was almost a chore and now....I cannot wait to hit the road with him.The rest of the detailsThe brake is so much easier to use now, the front wheel is different so it no longer has that weird lever thing that you can use to pop it off (now you use an allen wrench to tighten it, which is provided). The little pin in the front to lock the front wheel to run is the same though. So final thoughts? Love it. 5/5 Would definitely recommend. Swipe Right . Read more
I was so excited to get this stroller. I did my research, I read the reviews and have been nothing but disappointed since I got it. After my first run the rear tire went flat and would not hold air. There was also an awful squeak that hurt my kids ears! I contacted BOB about the issues, they offered to send me a new inner tube and that the squeak was only because it was new... two months later and it STILL squeaks! I had the new inner tube installed by a local professional bike shop, I went on another run, woke up the next day and it was FLAT! The eyelets are also rusting and the handle feels flimsy and loose. I called BOB again and the only thing they offered was to send me a new inner tube AGAIN. They don’t cover the rust and said I can switch the rear tires and see if that fixes the squeak. They would not listen to my concerns. I have already replaced the inner tube. Mind you I have two small children and work a full time job. Loading up and getting this tire issue fixed is not an easy task and I don’t have time to keep dealing with this faulty product. BOB suggested I buy an inner tube that is more durable...that was their suggestion... after I just spent $700 on the stroller! The limited warranty is worthless and the customer service was awful. The man I talked to from BOB talked to me like I didn’t know the components of a bike tire. Save your money - this product is not worth it. Read more
Overall I like my BOB Revolution Flex. It is great for both my 3 year old and my 3 month old. Jogging is easy, walking is easy. It is easy to manuever around and relatively easy to fold and fit anywhere. I hate that everything from snack trays to cup holders have to be bought separately. For the price of the stroller- I really think they should be included. I also wish there was a way to have the snack trays be separated so I could take off one side or the other. Read more
I have had my eye on a BOB for well over a year. Overall, I am very happy with my stroller and my child looks forward to going on walks/runs.There are 3 issues I had... the first stroller arrived and before I could even get the plastic off the main body, I realized one of the tires was flat. We tried to inflate it but there was a puncture to the inner tube. I called BOB warranty dept and they said I needed to return the stroller to Amazon as their warranty doesn’t cover tires. I called 2 times to be sure and was told the same thing. How their brand new tires aren’t covered boggles my mind. Amazon was wonderful and sent me a new stroller immediately and UPS picked up the old one.The second thing is I somehow missed that there is no cupholder. Even most of the cheap jogging strollers come with one... so for the price of this, I was disappointed to have to pay another $20 to get the cupholder. My last issue is that I find this stroller to be difficult when in the final step of folding. I wish it just locked into place instead of having to manually connect it. The smaller strap seems to be turned in the wrong direction so buckling it is a struggle everytime. I can’t undo it as it’s bolted in place.Overall, these issues are minor. The only one that can’t be resolved is the third one. I do really like this stroller. It turns quickly and easily and is great for the off road trails we take regularly. If I am to recommend the stroller to friends or family though, I will be mentioning the lack of a cupholder and issues with folding. Read more
We bought the Revolution Flex 3.0 as an upgrade from our Graco Jogger. With Covid 19 closing down daycares and having our toddler at home, my 22 month old son became my daily walking buddy again. It was clear that the old stroller was not cutting it (for him or me). I agonized over what stroller to buy, knowing that I wanted something that he would be comfortable in and I would enjoy pushing over pavement and trails. I have some friends who had BOB strollers and assured me I would not regret the purchase, and they were right. If you lead an active lifestyle then the BOB is definitely a stroller to consider. It is a very smooth ride and manoeuvres very easily. I mostly walk on pavement and trails and the stroller glides over bumps, instead of jostling the whole stroller like with the Graco. My son loves the fully upright position of the seat so he can look around. The canopy is a nice, durable canvas that can be pulled to two heights, always offering the right amount of sun coverage. I hated the canopy on my old stroller so this, for me, is a huge plus to the BOB. I find the two step fold easy and you can clip it together so it stays in place. It is on the heavier side for strollers, but coming from having an already heavy stroller the BOB is fine for me to lift. I like the little storage pockets for phone, wallet etc.I gave 4 stars because Amazon actually replaced the first Flex I bought in May. Less than one week in the stroller was squeaking and making rattling sounds. I called Amazon and they ordered me a replacement without hesitation. Excellent customer service. The new stroller is ok so far (fingers crossed).Overall, very, very happy with my BOB Flex 3.0!! Read more
It has been hard to get back into a running routine when I was running at 8 half marathons a year (plus 10k, OCRs and other crazy trail distances), so I bought this to help me get back to running. I love this jogger, it makes it very easy to move with little effort and is very sturdy and my kids feel very safe in it (as do I). This has helped me get back into a daily routine. I have been running bike paths with no problems, haven't taken it out on the trails yet but will soon. There are only 2 things I don't like about it. It is heavy and bulky, which is to be expected for something very sturdy and safe and when you put the wheels in "run" mode, it is very hard to turn the corners, I would have to lift the wheels up a bit or really push to make the turns. Other than that, I love it! Read more
The stroller is exactly as pictured for pattern and design. I had a hand me down jogging stroller and this one is beautiful by comparison and I am surprised how compact it is when folded up. Will fit easily in back of my car/trunk. The only downfall is there is no cup holders so I ordered the BOB heat bag/cup holder attachment for an additional $35 separately. This stroller is like the Cadillac of joggers mind you the cargo space below isn’t as big for groceries and I had hoped - it will do for grabbing a few things. Love the huge sun shade on it. Have had this stroller for a few weeks now absolutely love it. My insult regret is that I didn’t order this sooner and have it here from the day he came home. I would absolutely recommend if your debating do it! It is a fantastic all terrain stroller, super smooth to push holds everything you can need for a walk or day out, great in all weather and I love the upgrades from the old style bobs things don’t advertise like the convient button you can push and pull to adjust the seat height, the wheels pop on and off, the sun visitor has many adjustable positions and the top can be easily tucked away for full view of your babe. The handle bar adjusts to all heights and super easy to fold to take in the grocery store absolutely will always have a bob while my kids require a stroller! Great investment Read more
We switched to this one after Graco stroller, the LO was about 16 months. I can’t describe how much more we love this stroller so far!Pros:- Comfortable seating (She got it and didn’t want to get out for almost an hour once it’s arrived)- Very smooth ride, even off road,- love how much you can decline the back, so the kid’s almost laying flat,- love how you can adjust the handle position- very easily folded- the deep hood covers her fully, when she’s sleeping, only feet stuck out from underneath 😄- amazing for joggingCons:- you gotta buy all the accessories separately and I’m personally not loving the snack tray for the munchkin.- smaller bin underneath (you can’t have everything in 1 stroller)- speeds up very fast, easily steered, but make sure to always have a brake down if stopping even for a sec. and having all the harness on properly.
