I got these for my son who wanted to have fun color hair in the summer when school was out. Instead of permanent color, we opted for these temporary chalk-pens. Some of the colors go on easier than others (yellow was the hardest because it is quite light, but the dark blue and green went on perfect). Once I got the hang of it, they worked great. They stay in most of the day, though they will come off on pillows and such if rubbed against them - I have blue pillows for laundry right now :-) They really do wash out very easily from the hair though, so I don't expect any issues in the laundry. I gave it 4 stars because it is hard to style the hair as well as get the color in, but that is only an issue when my son also wants to do the faux-hawk with the color. Read more

My hair color is currently dyed orange with Artic Fox hair dye so I wasn't sure what the coverage was going to be, but I was pleasantly surprised by these.They take a few tries to get the best way to apply them down but they are very pigmented.They can be used on wet hair for a more vibrant look but it might stain lighter hair colors for a few washes. I personally had no issues with staining, but your results may be different. These wash out super easy, but if you use the glitter you will probably still find glitter for a few washes.The silver and gold didn't show up well on my hair but the blue, green, and red looked really good. If you want a less bright look you can brush some of the color out after the dry time. The pink and blue glitter are subtle while the silver is a little more bold. The glue is a little thick, but that makes it easier to apply without drips.The products can also be used on the face and body. The tips are large so you would want brushes for fine detail work. Wasn't real happy with the results. Only a few of the colors were really noticeable on the hair, and even those required quite a bit of the product to stand out. Also, the color did not last very long. We tried this product on both wet and dry hair, and on both light and dark. Yes, the colors did stand out more on the light hair. However, there were still only 3-4 colors that were visible. The dry hair was easier to color as the wet hair seemed too slippery for the color to stick to. When the hair dried, there was no color to speak of.I won't be buying these again, but glad my granddaughter and I got to try this out together. 😊 Read more

Very happy with this hair chalk. My son had Wacky Hair day at his school. This hair chalk was easy to apply and turned out great. The darker colors definitely showed up better than the lighter ones on his darker hair. I sprayed his head with hair spray all over to seal the color and it didn’t rub off anywhere. After he got home from school, I washed his hair. Most of the color came out just with the water. I did shampoo twice just to be safe. Read more

Generally happy with this. What they don't tell you is that this is hair chalk and like a glitter tattoo set. Theres no instructions so I can't tell if it's meant for your face or your skin, if they need to be let to dry, and just general use. Really wish this had instructions and didn't leave me guessing.
