Hands down this IS the best pre workout I’ve ever tasted. Nothing I’ve tried is comparable.Pros:-TASTE! It’s not too sweet yet doesn’t taste like a freaking plant or like you’re downing staight dirty. I can’t really describe the taste. It’s what I would think the color blue tastes like lol. Most pre workouts IMO are overly sweet or sour. This is none of the above. HOWEVER, if you love sweet sweet sweet, this may not be the product for you.-INGREDIENTS, what’s inside is clean and on point. I will tell you this does have caffeine in it but if you’re like me, 30s with 3 little ones...caffeine = life!-MIX, this mixes extremely well in a plain blender bottle or cup (shaky shaky) and bam! It’s all mixed up and ready to guzzle (or sip).-CAFFEINE, gives you a steady stream of caffeine throughout the day. I usually workout about 9am and by 2-3pm I’m still riding high on this. First off. Blue raspberry isn't my favorite since forever. The flavor is tolerable. But it comes in other flavors I haven't tried. This was my first order.NOW--I love this product. And this is why. Energy to complete my workouts (HIIT and elliptical) without feeling like I'm going to puke and pass out. No jitters or shakes. The energy bump lasts about 2ish hours for me. So I take it in the morning when I work out and it lasts past the workout and into chores and house cleaning. I have to be at work at 5am, which means up around 4. This stuff wakes me up instantly and gives me the energy and focus to make it through my fast-paced shift. Coffee gives me anxiety and jitters, this doesn't. Calm, cool, collected, and ready to run! Love it.But don't drink this as an afternoon pick-me up unless you work night shift. I have always been very sensitive to energy products. Even some of the “natural” ones caused me to bloat and feel weird and jittery. I had started using KOS protein for some of the same inflammation issues I was having and saw the bolt from the blue advertised. But it was sold out! 😖 so I waited and finally I came back in and I tried it and Im hooked! It’s not like an energy drink where you get buzzed almost. This is better a more natural energy AND for me personally it had helped so much with my inflammation!! So if you are someone who struggles with that as well I HIGHLY suggest you give it a try! Admittedly, I'm a sucker for anything blue; it's my favorite color afterall. And anything blue in the edible world tends to be pretty healthy for us. So soon as I laid eyes on this product, I knew I had to try it.The taste is satisfactory. Blue raspberry happens to be my favorite flavor of anything, but usually onky found in artificial flavoring and you'll rarely find it in a natural product. That being said, don't expect this to taste like a blue Jolly Rancher or one of those blue popsicles we used to suck on as kids. What the flavor does is mask the taste of the not-so-tasty healthy ingredients hidden in this product and it does that more than well enough in my opinion. For A health product this tastes just fine (I mean, I'm used to drinking unflavored concotions that would send even the most seasoned healthnut running for the hills). With low sugar you won't feel guilty after taking this product and you can fit it into a low carb lifestyle.The marketing is genius. I'm not usually one to be sucked into marketing...I'm a back label reader. But something about this marketing just lulls you in. The label is gorgeous: clever names for products, vibrant colors, cool little art littering the product relevant to what's inside.Price wise I would say it's reasonable for what you're getting, there's quality ingredients here, albeit a little on the high side. Probably around what you'd pay for other high-end preworkout or energy mixes. Kos products are interesting and usually have a fair price point vs what you will find with similar products and that's what drove me to want to explore their options. With 28 servings, this will last you roughly a month.Energy/effects: my only gripe is I'd like a bit more caffeine, a bit more of a kick. Coming from a recovering energy drink addict, I'm used to the 150-160mg range. However, I do think the adaptogens and other goodies in this product will prove to make up for the deficit in caffeine. And maybe I'll get used to this amount over time.Overall I think this is an amazing product and, unless I come across somwthing even cooler, I'm likely to be a repeat customer. If you're like me and looking to replace that bland, acidic daily coffee (blegh), or kick that not-so-healthy energy drink habit, I would say this is worth trying. Purchased by mistake thinking this was protein powder a Is use their vegan pea protein powder and thought that this was a new flavor to try. The adaptogens in this blend are ones I use all the time, which are often very bitter....the blueberry flavor is fantastic...so now I use this WITH my chocolate protein powder smoothies and the combination is fantastic. I like to eat bowls for breakfast (healthy) and I wanted a blue spirulina for my chia pudding. After looking at different options I settled on KOS. It was a little pricey but well worth it. My chia pudding came out beautifully blue and delicious. My girlfriend does not like the taste of blue/green spirulina and this is perfect. No taste really at all. It just blends in.
