Huge fan of Blue Lizard sunscreen products and have been using them for close to eight years now. I have always hated sunscreens because of hope the application felt on my skin and how it always broke my face out until o started working for a plastic surgeon and was introduced to BL. However I never used the baby option until a few days ago and hours after it was applied to my sons face I was giving him his normal daily bath and as I was washing his face he started screaming. He’s only one so I’m afraid the BL residue got into his eyes and caused them to burn terribly. So moms and dads who use BL-BAby I would avoid applying to the face on very young kids. I think I found my favorite baby sunscreen!!! Since my favorite brand (Adorable baby) discontinued their formula I have been trying new ones, but all of them have left an AWFUL white cast on their skin, were so hard to rub in, not to mention we went through them so fast....except this one! It goes on smooth quick and easy, a little goes a long way, at first it has a white cast but dries clear very quickly. Plus most importantly no burns on my 3 toddlers, and it's way more affordable in the large bottle. I'm definitely a Blue Lizzard convert. Read more

I shopped a lot before purchasing a baby sunscreen. I'm so worried for my little one to be burnt but he wasn't at all! It is thick but not too thick and i felt like he was very protected. If you want to avoid sun damage, and you should, this is the best sunscreen. It is a pain to put on. You have to take your time rubbing it in, but it will not sweat off. Great for athletes as it doesn't have the chemicals that will sweat off and sting your eyes. It is also much more water resistant. I have been in the ocean body boarding for 4 hours and didn't burn. I have 3 kids 4 and under and this is the only sunscreen that works all day! Also, the only one that does not irritate my kids skin. Totally worth the expense in my opinion. It does go on white but you can rub it in. I personally prefer being able to see where I have applied it. Read more

I have eczema on my eyelids, area around my nose/lips, and on my neck. This is the only sunscreen that doesn't cause pain when I apply it, and doesn't cause the eczema to flare. My skin is very sensitive, and usually develops rashes or welts from sunscreen, but Blue Lizard Baby doesn't cause any allergic reaction for me. I have very fair skin (never tans, always burns), and am able to work in the yard for hours with this sunscreen without any sunburn. I used this product on a cruise to mexico because we planned to go snorkeling. I loved that it didn't give me that burning sensation I have always gotten from sunscreens. It provided great protection from the harsher rays closer to the equator. It was a bit of a task to get it all rubbed in and it did make me look whiter than I already am, but who cares! I was protected from the sun! I also love that it doesn't hurt the marine life! I don't think I will ever use another kind of sunscreen again. Read more

This sunscreen is awesome. My children are as white as casper the ghost and they haven't had a sunburn yet! It does take a little bit of rubbing to get it all the way rubbed in, but I don't mind this because I know that there's full coverage. Both of my kids have eczema and this doesn't aggravate it in any way. It's unscented which I really love. If you have kids with sensitive skin or that burn easily, I highly highly recommend this sunscreen. Read more
