This is a great migraine ice cap. It is a big bulkier than my previous one, but that is actually a good thing, because this one stays cold for way longer. It actually contains 10 individual ice packs, and if it's been in the freezer overnight, I get at least 25 minutes of cold out of this one. My previous ice mask only stayed cold for less than 10 minutes, so this one is a big improvement.The good:*Stays ice cold for a long time, 25+ minutes.*Comfortable despite being fairly large.*Well made and feels like it will last a long time.The bad:*A bit too cold to use right out of the freezer, I have to let it warm a bit first.*The fleece flap "for comfort" is too thick, and blocks all the cold if you use it - so expect to have your head making direct almost direct contact with the ice packs.*Doesn't cover the very top of your head.Thoughts:This is a great ice cap for migraines. It stays cold for much longer than the very thin hat/mask style ones, and while it is slightly less comfortable to wear - the cold is the most important part. I have not had a need for this yet and hopefully won't have a migraine for some time. But given when I do, I usually use a baggie of ice or an ice pack to help with the pain. This device makes sense because they're small little ice inserts along the whole thing which then I go to you wrap it around your head it wraps around your head rather than just on top of so we it go with the curve. The ice pack inserts do come out but you leave them in when you're freezing the migraine ice pack. It came with one extra ice pack as well. I only gave it four stars instead of 5 because it was pretty heavy and sometimes I can't stand even a washcloth I my my head when I have a migraine. I think it'll work out very well though. I was surprised when my migraine "hat" arrived and it wasn't a hat. It's a wrap. It doesn't have a top. I didn't look closely enough at the pictures. I saw hat in the description and hit the order button. That being said, the wrap itself is very nice. It has Velcro at the ends to make it as loose or tight as you need. My old ice pack is a one piece tube and isn't tight enough, causing it to slide down. The fleece on the wrap is soft and soothing. It's a really nice touch when I first put it on. I remove the fleece after my head acclimates to the direct cold contact. No more wrapping handtowels around the ice pack. I heard a couple people tell me how they use this to knock out migraine pain, by having cold on one part of their body, and hot on another end. So, they did a heated pad on their feet and an ice head wrap, and after 20 minutes, the migraine pain went away.Well, I can tell you I tried that, and it made a significant difference. It’s now my go-to solution for migraine pain. The fact that they put the fleece liner in as an option, if you want to modify how much of the cooling you feel directly on your face and head tells you they really thought this through in terms of design. One thing I’m not too big on is the velcro strap could be a problem for people with longer hair. Mine would get caught sometimes, and if you have medium length, long hair, or even curly hair, I can see how that would be a nuisance. I had to play around with it a bit to get it situated, in place, and not grabbing a handful of my hair at the same time. If you’re someone whose head is sensitive when a migraine is happening, then maybe see if you can use it lying down, without fastening it around your head. This is a game changer for me I, thankfully, don't get migraines regularly. But I do get them occasionally and when they hit it's with the force of a mac truck. I've found having ice on my forehead and the back of my neck, while laying in a dark room is the only thing that works to relieve my pain (after quite some time and some otc meds). It's almost impossible to keep ice packs balanced or placed comfortably during these episodes. This is going to be a life saver. It seems to be made of quality materials and the velcro to hold it in place is strong (so it will stay put). It came with an extra ice packet in case something happens to one. It's flexible and maneuverable. As excited as I am to have it, I hope I don't need it any time soon lol. I got this for my wife that suffers from migraines on a regular basis. It has really helped with the pain and discomfort of the migraines and made her feel better. The coolness of the chill pads in the masks and the ability to wrap around her head reduces some of the discomfort for her. The mask does a nice job of covering her eyes and providing a dark environment, even during the day when it’s hard to get complete darkness. I have to use a tshirt between this and my face because it is almost too cold at first. The fleece provided is too thick and then you can’t feel the cold. The velcro also gets stuck in my hair a lot. It does feel very good with migraine though so I still like it and use it. Read more

The material and ice packs are soft and comfortable. The Velcro strap makes it adjustable so it’s not only great for different head sizes but also for the amount of pressure that will feel best at the time.I’ve suffered migraines for over 30 years and have been waiting to find something like this.
