I have been using the same biolage shampoo conditioner for the past six months and have been in love! I thought I was getting a great deal on amazon for the same product I have been using this whole time. This is a complete scam. The shampoo/conditioner are completely diluted and not at all like the original. I am extremely disappointed. I was hesitant about purchasing this shampoo, especially after all of the bad reviews. I'm glad I did purchase it - it's not a fake bottle and hasn't been tampered with. So disappointed in whatever this stuff was because it definitely wasn't what I used before. Wish I would've read some of the reviews beforehand...Originally found both the shampoo and conditioner at a RIte Aid and after the first couple of uses I fell in love. My hair was more manageable - with less tangles and far less hair loss. Made my hair smell amazing too! It was almost a dream come true, except I wasn't willing to pay almost 25 dollars a bottle.And Amazon is usually reliable for most things that I buy, but unfortunately not for hair care. What I received was some smelly thick formula that left my hair dry, tangled, and frizzy (even after using the conditioner). The conditioner didn't even do its job and I felt like I needed to use more of it. What a waste of money!!I'll go back to paying for the expensive stuff that lasts longer and does a better job. This is a great shampoo for everyday use if one of those folks who washes that frequently. It's essential for extremely dry hair. What I love is that the shampoo has a heavy conditioning component already, so when used with the conditioner you get this double infusion of moisture. I wash 1x per week. I've been using this shampoo, along with the associated conditioner and leave-in conditioner, for about a week and a half. My hair is now worse than before: it's dryer, gets tangled more easily, looks bulkier, and I'm losing more hair in the shower than I ever have before. For the cost of this stuff, it should be some kind of miracle, but instead it has been worse than the Pantene I was using previously. The only good thing I can say is that the leave-in conditioner does make my hair more manageable, so I might keep using that with a different shampoo and regular conditioner.In case this helps anyone, my hair is mostly straight and fine, although I have a lot of fine hairs, so it ends up looking thick. I do not need more volume. What I needed was hydration, and this brand made my hair dryer despite being "ultra hydrasource". Maybe it just wasn't formulated for my hair type, but the description didn't say otherwise. To be honest I don't use salon shampoos. My husband has been using a salon shampoo given to him by his mother. He was running out so we were trying to get the same shampoo. I used it once & I was surprised that although it feels smooth, it's dry at the same time with no shine. It's straight, but I have wavy thick hair that is normal, not at all dry. I always let it dry on it's own. Once dry I'm having a difficult time getting the brush though my hair. I'm not using it again, I will go back to Suave. Read more

Do not buy this product! I used it for a week and my scalp is peeling. I have NEVER had this problem in the past with ANY hair products. The BIOLAGE Ultra Hydrasource Shampoo is a bit pricey. But it has premium ingredients like aloe, cupuacu butter and apricot kernel oil in the right amounts. It also avoids harsh ingredients that can damage hair. The shampoo has a very pleasant and gentle scent. The consistency is creamy. It washes my hair very well and leaves it extremely hydrated and volumized. It does make a difference especially if you want moisture to help dry hair. The volume and structure it lends to my hair are also amazing. Unfortunately, the bottle is on the smaller side so it won't last very long. The bottle also falls easy in my shower caddy owing to its weird shape and tapered bottom. However, its what's inside the bottle that counts the most. So if you're looking for an effective product to moisturize the hair with premium ingredients this shampoo is definitely worth a look. Read more

I have used both the regular Hydrasource shampoo and this "Ultra" Hydrasource shampoo. Honestly, I don't find anything different between these two shampoos. They are essentially the same shampoo, but given two names. They both are even priced the same at $20.50 (price while I write this review). They both have a very faint Aloe smell, foam up pretty nicely, and leave the hair decently moisturized and nicely clean. Nothing fancy. Just appear to be a regular shampoo doing its regular job. I like the result for my hair of using the BIOLAGE Ultra Hydrasource Shampoo For Very Dry Hair, 13.5 Fl. Oz.. It leaves hair soft and moisturized, without feeling heavy.
