Your progesterone level rises and lowers naturally during the month. It is important to read up and make sure you consult with a doctor or naturopath, who will help you understand if you truly need this or not. I've been using progesterone for over 20 years now, since finding out I was estrogen dominant. It has helped me tremendously, but I also understand how much I need and when to use it. Now being closer to menopause, I understand how this works with my body. You do need to use this for a certain amount of days in your cycle and then take a break. Each pump of this delivers approximately 50 mg of USP Progesterone. I highly suggest reading books by Dr. John Lee before you use this product. He was a pioneer in natural supplementation related to women's hormones. I prefer to use mine at bedtime since it makes me relaxed and helps me sleep. If you try this and feel a little groggy, you will want to use it at night. This is NOT the same as a "progestin", so again, do your research before you jump in and start using this. I have tried different brands of progesterone creams for years since my doctor told me to buy some and start using. I have one brand that I have liked best over the years but since I've been using this one, I've found another favorite. I am very sensitive and allergic and I've found so many other brands irritating to me in one way or another, or leaving me feeling very allergic. I don't have anything like that with this brand. The cream comes out of the pump perfectly. No pumping and pumping just to get a tiny dot out as with so many pumps. This rubs in easily and absorbs well. Love how natural it is and how it makes me feel better overall since starting. I previously was using the 75g version which I later found out was too high of a dosage for me as I’m not officially in menopause yet.
