I’ve purchased a small bottle of biocorneum before just to test it out and since I had good results I figured why not buy the bigger bottle instead. Mistake! This one gave me a huge allergic reaction. Red, irritated and itchy skin plus hives. I didn’t think it was this because I used a bottle beforehand with no reaction. So I put the bottles side by side to notice the new(bigger) one was losing paint on the cap & bottle. I can literally scratch the paint off while the small one I can’t at all. Which leads me to believe it’s a knock off and a complete waste of money. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this isn’t a cheap cream and I’d like to warn others just to be cautious if you still do buy this cream, It might not be the real deal. Read more

I’ve purchased this 3 times so far. I originally purchased a small bottle from my surgeon for $75. This is a much better deal. The ingredients and consistency are the same as the one purchased from my drs office. I can’t say for sure if this cream is what’s improving the look of my scars or purely just time but I continue to use and purchase this product. I had surgery 5 1/2 months ago and started using the gel about 2 months after. It only takes a small amount/thin layer. I had a major surgery last year - mastectomy and reconstructive surgery which required an incision from hipbone to hipbone. I've used this product every time I get out of the shower or tub since two weeks post op, which is just about 4 months now. There are parts of my larger scar that don't show at all. It's amazing. Use sparingly. My doc. said to spread very thin and let it dry before dressing. Contains something that forms a fibrous bond over the scar, according to him. Just over a year ago, my son sliced his precious 1.5yr old perfect face and needed 5 stitches in his forehead. They were done in the ER and NOT by a PS. I was horrified when I saw it start to heal. It kept getting wider, redder, and I immediately tried to heal it with Mederma massages and silicone sheeting. Massage, massage, sun screen, sun screen. I did everything I read was right. A plastic surgeon recommended biocorneum and I was ready to buy it in his office. He said it's expensive and I'm better off buying it on Amazon. So far, we've been using it for about 9-10 months and the BEST thing about this stuff is the SUNSCREEN IN IT!!! He no longer needs a thick white line on his face to go outside. I use this every morning and every night (and anytime I leave the house). We don't use much at a time and I'm back here on Amazon to buy our first replacement bottle. It has lasted that long!!! This stuff (and time, of course), has made his scar blend in SO much better, it's definitely there still, but it's soft and just a tad lighter than his natural skin. I had bought the product before at a doctor's office and this one seemed so different from that one, so I was not sure it was the same product. I recently had a nose job and breast surgery and this has been the best for my scars and have improved with time. I have used other but the most rapid changes have come from bioCorneum. We keep trying other things to try and avoid spending the extra money on bioCorneum, but this is definitely the best. My doctor recommend it. I was worried this was fake. IT IS NOT fake. IT IS REAL. Originally I bought a brown box titled 'bioCorneum' from my doctor. I called the HOT LINE on the brown box (1.800.240.8227) that I purchased at my doctor's office. Learned the BIOCORNEUM I thought might be counterfeit was NOT. It's real. The brown box ( with the capital 'C' in the product name) is real. So is the white box with the spelling BIOCORNEUM is real, too. ( by sientra / hotline 888.708.0808). The brown box company (manufactured in the USA for enaltus, LLC) only packages it. Their CS rep referred me to sientra and hotline phone number 888.708.0808 that is printed on the box I was worried was a fake product. I did a lot of research before I ordered this stuff. I ordered bikcroneum and scar away patches as all my research seemed to point to these two being the best products. After using both interchangeably over the last 2 months (since a long incision and deep on my elbow for ulcer nerve decompression surgery) I have to say that the scar away patches do a lot especially when combined with scar massage which I just do myself. It noticibly softens the scar after wearing for 23 hours. Then I use the biocromium when I have to have the scar patch off for a few hours. I really can’t see that the biocronium does anything. I may as well have stuck with bio oil which seems to be just as good as biocronium. And if I need a sunscreen I’d pick a waterproof one so that’s not an advantage to this product either. I really don’t see the point of it and I’ll just stick with scar away. Read more
