After returning multiple Pottery Barn lunch boxes because of defects, we ordered this for our preschooler. It is a great lunch box and the Bentgo kids print bento box fits perfectly inside. Both are easy for our son to open and his food stays fresh! We’ve practiced using it the last week and found his food is still cold six hours later. We put guacamole in one of the compartments in the Bentgo box, put it inside the lunch box, and added a thin ice pack on top and bottom. The guacamole had the exact same coloring as when we placed it inside the box at 6:30 a.m.! Also, the Bentgo bento box fits both horizontally and vertically in the lunch bag, so I can fit a small hot food thermos inside the lunch bag with the bento box.The quality is leaps and bounds above the more expensive Pottery Barn boxes we returned. The padding, stitching, fabric, liner, and overall construction is great. There is a lot of insulation/padding, which is great! My son likes that there are multiple ways to carry it. (It has two handles and a strap you can use.) We are very impressed. Customer service was excellent, too. We ordered two on the bento type boxes to alternate inside the lunch box. The tray inside one of them was a little loose because it had a small defect in the molding. I reached out to purchase a replacement tray since the box was fine and they responded immediately. The company asked me to send a photo and shipped out a new tray (free of charge) for the box without any further issue. It was all handled with two emails in just under two hours. That’s it! This was working fine initially. My daughter has the bento box that fits inside and this was used about once a week to send something addition (yogurt, etc). It always had a sticky spot on the zipper, but now the zipper is completely stuck and unusable (after roughly 8 uses). I can understand having to be gentle with some zippers, but this is a child's lunchbox and at this price point and infrequent use I would expect more durability. Read more

I looked at so many lunch boxes and bags before choosing this one. I was a little hesitant because it is a bit more expensive than the other ones on Amazon, but it is totally worth it.Pros:- The bag looks exactly like the picture- Great insulation- No leaks- My daughter loves it- Big enough for the Bentgo lunch box and a couple of ice packs to keep it cool- Customer service is greatMy only issue with the bag was that after a couple of times using it, two small rips in the inside (insulation part) showed up out of nowhere. I did not put any sharp items inside the bag. All I had was the Bentgo lunch box and a couple of ice packs (no sharp edges). I contacted customer service and they are sending me a new one free of charge. I must have gotten a defective one the first time. I cannot fathom the great reviews on this product considering that the side pocket cannot hold a single one of my son’s water bottles. This is the reason I purchased this particular product as his bentgo box can fit into a variety of other lunch bags. There’s a reason not a single photo shows a water bottle in the side pocket... will be returning. While the water bottle can fit inside with the bentgo box that does not meet my needs. Read more

I love the print, and my child loves the print. It fits a kids bentgo box nicely. It also fits the larger bentgo boxes. We have the bentgo fresh and it fits well. I have a small thermos that I was hoping would fit into the side drink area but it's too big so it needs to go inside and it does fit but it's a tight squeeze. I guess it's.nixe to have options on how to carry it, but I don't think it needs 3 ways to carry it. It's kind of annoying. It's less clean looking I guess with all the options to carry. It is large compared to anything else I tried or saw and the reason I like that is that the other lunch boxes could hold the bentgo box and that was all. No room for a drink. No room for anything else at all. So while this is super large, I like that I can fit all that I need to fit inside. Read more

Great lunch bag, my daughter loves it. The colour is beautiful, the design is so pretty. Easy to clean except the internal netting might require a little care. Haven't put anything that could leak in so far, but it would try it's best not to leak. Anything liquid would come out the zipper, not a fault of the bag. Seems pretty durable, should last a couple years at min. Really like the adjustable removable shoulder strap, and the multiple carry straps. The outter side pocket is too small to fit most of our water bottles, not the end of our world. The bag itself fits my daughter's small thermos, sandwich container, and multiple snack items. Internal net pocket with zipper holds napkin and cutlery. It's a big size, but still fits in my grade 1 daughter's backpack. I think this is expensive but the quality of ours is worth it. I bought this for my Planetbox Rover. It is hard to find a bag that will hold them as they are quite large. I also did not want to use the Planetbox bags because they are meant to snuggly fit the bento box ONLY. I needed to be able to pack extra snacks as well and I can do that with this bag. Read more
