I started using this oil at 6 weeks and it was my first pregnancy. I rubbed this stuff on each morning and before bed, i also kept a bottle at my office and in my purse just in case my skin felt dry or in any way itchy. I made every effort to not scratch when itchy. I really love this product. I can't say that I'm sure it prevents stretch marks - but I'm sure in combination with other things, it helps! I am 3 months postpartum now and I don't have a stretch mark in sight! I gained 55 lbs during pregnancy, originally starting at 130 lbs and have naturally dry skin so I was quite concerned I might get stretch marks. Also, this stretch oil SMELLS amazing! I waited a full year to write this review because I wanted to be fair. I started using this at 10 weeks and up to 3 months after delivery. I gained an avg of 1 lb a week and used this oil morning and night. I'm glad to report that I didn't get a single stretch mark. I did work out until about 36 weeks, but this oil was a miracle worker as to how I didn't get stretch marks. Those are genetic and I got them on my hips as a teenager, so this stuff works. I was using a much more expensive oil for the first two trimesters of my pregnancy, which worked fine (as in no stretch marks). I am so happy I found this oil as it is priced well (less than 1/3 of the price of the other oil I was using) and works just as well. I like the light smell, and that it absorbs well so it doesn't leave you feeling greasy or not wanting to put your clothes on. I have also used the other Earth Mama products and highly recommend them! I have very dry skin and eczema and haven't had any issues with their products. I started using this lotion that I received as a gift with my first pregnancy. Later on I bought the oil as well. Used lotion in the morning and oil before bed!
