I purchased this oil after reading that Gotu Kola could help prevent stretch marks. I started using the oil twice daily at the start of my second trimester (well, I tried to apply that often, anyway). I AM prone to stretch marks (started getting them in HS on my thighs and butt) and so wasn’t expecting this product to work. But it did!It was totally worth the money paid and the bottle went farther earlier in my pregnancy than at the end (more surface area to cover!). I gained approximately 25lbs, if that is important for anyone to know. I used it on my belly, sides, lower back, breasts, and upper thighs. The oil absorbed well, did not stain my clothing, had a pleasant smell, and I was NEVER itchy.I am continuing to use this oil postpartum in hopes of helping my skin keep the elasticity and “bounce back.” I would 100% recommend this product and will use it again in the future if more babies are made. ;) Read more

Every article I read online stated that there is no magic product that prevents stretch marks in people who are genetically predisposed to getting them. Stretch marks run in my family but I decided to take a chance and buy this oil anyway. Well, I’m glad I did, because it is a MIRACLE PRODUCT. I used this on my belly throughout my pregnancy and did not get a single stretch mark there! I know this is a result of this product alone, because I got stretch marks all over other parts of my body where I didn’t apply the oil (I was too lazy to apply it anywhere else but my belly). I applied the product once a day on most days, but there were definitely lots of days when I forgot to apply it at all, and it still worked. During delivery and at my postpartum check-ups, the nurses and doctors commented on how I didn’t have a single stretch mark. It’s 100% because of this oil.Aside from these unbelievable results, the oil smells fantastic. The lavender scent is so relaxing and I loved applying it to my belly before bed, after showers, and whenever my belly felt itchy as it grew.I never write reviews, but felt compelled to write this to encourage other pregnant women who are worried about stretch marks to buy this product! Update:There is no miracle belly oil out there that will prevent stretch marks. I followed their instructions and used it with the belli moisturizer daily 2x but I developed stretch marks on my belly late in my third trimester. It's expensive and I would not buy again since it didn't work for me.Old review:I've been using the belly oil with their all day moisturizer cream for at least a month in my second trimester. I can't tell if it's preventing stretch marks or not. So far I don't see any new stretch marks. I have old stretch marks on my hip but I haven't seen any changes yet. At first I used the belly oil by itself and it was not enough to keep the itching down. The oil is light which is good so that it's not greasy but it was not enough to keep me moisturizerized. On the bottle it says for best results use with their moisturizer and I did and it helped with my itchiness. So far I'm almost done with one bottle and it has been a little over a month. I bought another bottle and I will keep using it through my pregnancy to see if it helps with stretch marks. Read more

I am in the midst of my third pregnancy, and I have used this belly oil during portions of all three pregnancies, alternating it within the pregnancies with Mama Mio Tummy Rub Oil. I have tried a variety of butters and creams, as well as less expensive drug store oils, but I I always go back to the Belli oil and the Mama Mio oil. Both have herbal scents that are noticeable to my husband and my coworkers, but they are not offensive scents. In my experience, the Belli oil is a thicker oil that spreads more smoothly and keeps itching to a minimum, whereas the Mama Mio oil is a thinner and dryer oil that feels cleaner but requires more product for coverage. Both oils require time after application before putting on clothing. Both oils have stained my maternity clothing when I did not allot adequate time before dressing - usually when hurrying to work. For me, each full pregnancy, (each with a weight gain of 65 pounds on a 5'7" 125-130 pound frame) has required two to three total bottles of oil. My first pregnancy (at age 30), I got no stretch marks and no loose skin. I did get cellulite, but it went away with my weight loss after the birth. My second pregnancy (at age 32), I got no stretch marks but a bit of "crepe paper" skin low on my abdomen. Again, I did get cellulite, but the second time, it did not go away with my weight loss after the birth. My third pregnancy (at age 34), is not yet complete, but thus far, I have no stretch marks and no new loose skin. Since I am only one person, I cannot say to what degree the oil is or is not effective, but I can say that it kept me comfortable and kept my itching to a minimum throughout each pregnancy. That has been especially important to me since my favorite maternity pants all have full panels, (so fabric sits or rubs against my skin all day). Finally, a note regarding climate - My first two pregnancies were in the Midwest in humid climates, and my third pregnancy is on the West Coast in a dry climate, and this belly oil has worked well in both climates. I am giving 1 star because of the packing. The oil itself is really good, the smell is great (although it’s a personal taste), but the packing.. oh Lord, it’s such a poor quality. If one single time you decide to close the bottle and put it back on the shelf right after applying the product, the packing gets slippery forever. It’s so sad that such great oil comes in a bad quality packing, with so many resistant materials out there.. If it accidentally falls on the floor: forget it - it will break. :/ Read more

Can't tell yet if it will work for it's intended purpose but just wanted to comment on its very strong lavender smell, I'm not a fan of lavender but I guess I should have read the ingredients before purchasing. Otherwise it's a nice oil and not greasy, absorbs well. Read more

I don’t know if my girlfriend got lucky not getting stretch marks or it was this product. She put it on religiously and one bottle lasted 9 months. She has sensitive skin to lotions and such and this product gave her no troubles. Read more
