I just opened this and used it for the first time. I really like the way the waves look. I already have the deep beach waver by Bedhead, which is great for more “crimped” looking waves. But this one gives a softer wave, which I wanted for a slightly more polished look. It also gives me a tad more body in my roots, and is lighter weight (easier to maneuver). Unfortunately, the unit made a buzzing sound the entire time, which makes me a little leery of its quality compared to the old one, which has always operated silently. Hence the 3 stars, since it’s probably a defective unit. I might see about exchanging it and then update my review. But honestly I’m getting sick of having to return things because quality keeps going down. Read more

This waver makes gorgeous loose waves for an everyday casual look and it's lightweight so it makes the process of doing your hair easier. My problem with it is that my hair only works with high heat. The waver in its highest setting would heats up the top of the handle where there are curves for your hand to grip. The top of the waver where there are places for you to hold down the clamp with your other hand is also gets very hot and makes it unusable. Overall, I'm happy with the texture and volumes it gives to my hair but I'm on the fence about returning it considering the handle heats up as well to the point where it brings discomfort to use. Works great at perfect waves. I've used this pink one and also the blue one. I prefer this pink waver. The blue waver gives more defined "kinks" which is also cute..but I prefer the more subtle style the pink offers. BUT this does provide great definition. I section my hair when doing this so all the waves cross each other and they don't all fall the same to make "lines" around my head. It gets very very hot, and I think for most people you don't need it cranked to the max heat. Read more

I have really slippery, fine hair that refuses to hold a curl. This product creates waves easily and it stays in with a small amount of relaxation towards the end of the day, but there's still curl there. I don't even have to put it on the highest heat setting, which is miraculous in itself. So far I love it. Read more

Used it as a gift for my niece but I was very disappointed when I opened the too large box that it came in with no packing to cushion it from flailing around the box thereby the packaging was pretty much frayed around the edges and along the curves. I was embarrassed at the idea my niece might question as to whether this was a recycling of a gift. I have never had this issue with Amazon before but if this is now common practice than I will buy these types of products for gifting directly from the store. Read more
