Love the product but took awhile to get delivered. Read more
The rating is for the product (not the vendor or delivery), and assumes it's primarily for detachable pen needles. For that, it's optimal. It will grip the hub of the needle well enough to unscrew it and drop it into the container (though you should still visually check to verify the old needle has actually detached). It would be difficult, though not impossible, to lose a needle if the container tipped over. It's robust and the closure cap seals well. If you use and dispose of syringes, using insulin vials, it will work, but I'd suggest a large capacity box as this will fill quickly. As a MD (and diabetic), I like and trust the BD product line. They are made domestically, quality is uniform, defects are rare. With the syringes, one doesn't need to worry about needles that fall off the syringe hubs, air leaks, obstructed needles, or needle caps that fall off before you take them out of the bag, and design is good.
