I finally have my life back. I had my prostate removed in April of 2009 and leaked from that day on. My urologist has told me that I can have an implant (Urinary Sphincter) put in that can control the leaking but it requires an operation. You wait 4 weeks then go back to the doctor and he will activate it. I read in a survey that there is a possibility that the device may not activate and I guess now you would be looking at another operation. This isn't for me. I use to go through on average 7 pads a day. Now I can use 1 pad all day. This can save you money using this device. After you put the clamp in place you can pretty much forget about it. When put on right there is no pain at all. You would think there would be. If you do have some pain or irritation (which I do once in awhile) just go and readjust it. As in the instructions do not wear it to bed at night.I have been using this product for almost a year. I have three clamps now and rotate them every night. Makes them last longer. To me they are worth every penny. It also saves you the embarrassment of having a pad start leaking and you end up with a big wet spot. Read more

Needs detailed instructions for use. Suggestions - bend the top and bottom slightly so there is a small gap (About 3/16") just in the middle when you close it to the first notch. Mark the location of the bottom "bump" on the top with a permanent marker to make it easier to line-up. Wrap yourself with a layer of tissue just where the clamp contacts you. Use the lightest pressure needed to control your leakage. Open it every opportunity you have to allow some circulation. Don't wear it any longer than you need to. Read more

This is a very comfortable clamp. I have had incontinence for 26 years. I have used every clamp that has been made. Dr Jackson's J-Clamp is the best ever made, but he quit making them, why, I don't know. There is no patent on this device. Somebody should make and sell it on Amazon. The Cunningham clamp can be made to be water proof. Get white duck tape and carefully cover both sides of clamp with the tape- don't suppress the foam rubber. If you do this right, you will have a clamp that will last a year, and it is sanitary ie the foam rubber will not get soaked in urine. Read more

This is my third Cunningham Clamp therefore I must like them. Upon buying my first one I read the reviews on shaping the clamp so it would be comfortable and it was easy. You don’t want to tight. I play a lot of golf and bending doing yard work so I need this as I didn’t want to be embarrassed with wet crotch. If you drink beer be standing over the commode when you release it. Good luck Read more

It certainly effective and stops all leaking, if properly adjusted, but it did not work well for because its after-effects to me: I had a hard time emptying my bladder which caused me to leak into my Depend during the night. I will use it for short times: like not more than two or three hours at the most.: Read more

Tried this and the dribblestop. It does work but the metal spring clips were a pain when removing the device - which you have to do regularly to empty out your bladder, sometimes urgently. I much prefer the dribblestop as it's much easier to put on and remove and I found it a bit more comfortable. Read more

The clamp works fine when I basically stand up and walk around for approx. 2 hours. Sitting down, particular in the car the clamp hurts real bad after about 45 minutes. Not a perfect solution. The clamp needs to be redesigned. Read more
