I ordered this expecting to receive "Banana Boat Simply Protect Kids tear-free" (my almost empty small can on the right that I was trying to replace). What I received was "Banana Boat Kids Mineral Enriched" (big can on left). It's NOT tear free and has different ingredients in differing amounts (see picture)!I attempted a return but you cannot return it! A nice Amazon employee walked me through the steps of getting a replacement since it was the wrong product. I stressed to him that it HAS to be Simply Protect tear free. He said he would make sure.An identical can of the Kids Mineral Enriched arrived a few days later. :(I now have TWO huge cans of kid's sunscreen that I can't use on my kids. Very frustrated. This is great sunscreen for kids or yourself. I checked several brands that are clean of too many nasty chemicals that are bad for my child and the environment. I’m not a tree hugger but I don’t particularly want to kill off all the marine life either. Anyway the issue with most of these sunscreens in my experience is that they’re cakey and white and hard to spread. It sucks to buy a spray bottle and have it spray a thick stream of white like the bottled kind. If I wanted that I’d have bought the bottled kind. This sunscreen strikes a happy medium between the two and is the best clean sunscreen I’ve found that isn’t streaky or cakey and white. It DOES take a swipe or two to rub it in fully but not endless passes like most of them on the market. More importantly it does a great job on my 2 year old even if I spray her and let her go splash in the sprinkler a couple minutes later. It doesn’t leave her or me looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost- once it’s quickly rubbed in it is clear on the skin like a clear spray sunscreen. I bought 3 and am buying 3 more this month. Since birth, my 5yo daughter gets a red rash whenever we use sunscreens with chemicals or fragrances. Even some "sensitive skin" sunscreens marketed for babies still contained fragrances.This sunscreen does not make her skin red or irritated and protects her from the sun.It is rather thick but spreadable and does leave a white film on the skin, but again: it works and doesn't irritate sensitive skin.Obviously, it might be different for other users, but if you're looking for something for sensitive skin or a small child, this works for our daughter and is worth a try. it works great. i was out in the searing sun all afternoon and my skin isn't even slightly pink. it's not difficult to spread. the one issue is that it gives you a grayish appearance, it's not pretty. but that means you can see that is't there and that it's working. the one coat i put on this morning lasted all day - i could clearly see it was still on my arms and at the end of the day, no burning at all.5/11 - upgrading to 5 stars, this really works well, stays on all day, and yes, it makes your skin white, but that's to be expected with a mineral based sunscreen. We bought two of these, the first one worked great and I really like this product! I'm giving it a one star only because we just began using the second one, and...the spray nozzle is jammed! The container is full, but we can't get any of it out...and the return window closed TWO days ago. If we could just exchange this defective can of spray for another one, we'd be happy to change our rating to FIVE stars. But the can is defective, and we can't even exchange it... the exchange window should be wider than thirty days, as we bought a two-pack and wouldn't have had a reason or thought to try using the second one yet. :( Read more

This is the best Sunscreen we have found for our family. We all have fair skin and this gives us all great coverage. Most of the time we don't even reapply and everyone has been fine! 2 adults and 2 kids with various issues - who burns fast, who has sensitive skin on their body, who has sensitive skin on their face, etc. This works perfectly for us all. The only issue is my husband sometimes has trouble rubbing it in properly, especially through his arm and leg hair. We've bought nothing but this for 2yrs now! Read more

This stuff was like rubbing tacky glue on my kids. It was hard to rub on, left a white sticky mess everywhere (including all glass they bumped up against - sorry cruise line with your perfectly clean glass panels around the pool!) and turned my kids a sick white/ash color that made me wonder what was wrong with them until I realized it was the sunscreen. It was not easy to apply and they burned in the Jamaican sun after playing in the ocean for 2 hours. I maybe should have re-applied but most sunscreen lasts more than two hours! I will not reprurchase even though I live in MN and the sun is not as strong as in the Caribbean. It was just too hard to put on!Tip - I actually asked my daycare people what they use because one day I showed up when they were about to go outside and said I'd apply sunscreen to my girl so the rest of the class could get outside. It was SO EASY to put on - soaked in quickly and was so easy to use. That was SunX 30 but the bottle I had was huge so instead of trying to pour some into another container I bought this. It definitely shielded from the sun, but you have to rub it in reeeeally well because it turns you white otherwise. Not sure if it’s meant for your face, because it burns around your eyes and nose when you get in the pool and is very uncomfortable. Read more
