If I would have known how good my hair would have looked after using this hair dryer, and how fast the drying goes... I would have bought this years ago!!! Seriously! For years, I would spend $30 to $40 on various hair dryers from department stores thinking "there's no way some $80+ hair dryer could work that well!" Then a year would go by, it would lose its "oompf" and I'd buy another. Then one day, 3 or so years ago, I finally got fed up with the frizz and split ends, and asked my hair stylist what brand he would recommend. He gave a couple of names... one of which was "BaByliss." So off to the interwebs I went, and did a lot of comparing and review reading. Days later, I pulled the trigger on the "BaBylissPRO." O-M-Gee! Why didn't I do this sooner?!Before: I would have to blow dry my hair straight, but it would still be frizzy, so I'd have to use a flat iron. The result would be wasted time and LOTS of split ends. Now: I use this and have cut my styling time in half...better yet? Since I don't use a flat iron - No split ends! w00t1I held off on posting a review, because when people post right after they get a product it doesn't always speak to its longevity. The novelty hasn't worn off, and we haven't had a chance to discover the product's problems. Okay, I admit - I got a little busy, but I truly intended to post after owning it for a year. Well, that turned into 3-ish years... however, the dryer is still going strong and works like a champ! If you're thinking about investing in a hair dryer, and taking a step up from your department store purchase, then buy this BaByliss! This blow dryer is pretty darn good. It’s not crazy hot but It does the job. I noticed my hair was less frizzy when I was done so that’s a plus. However the down side is the attachment that is included. Like a lot of other reviews have said, the attachment does definitely fly off. It doesn’t not fall off and simply drop to the floor, I flys off and gets some distance. Here is a list of things hit by my flying attachment:-my dresser-my mirrored closet door-my unsuspecting husband-myself-my trash can-my mother-in-law (that was a bonus)- my set of bathbombs-my bottles of shampoo-my glass shower doorsAnd most recently-my flat screen tv.Everything thing It has hit has survived so it’s not like It causes chaos. However if you have even an ounce of anxiety this is not the blow dryer for you. If you have a since of adventure and enjoy chasing small plastic things around your house, this is definitely a blow dryer for you. Added bonus; could be used as a weapon, but only as far as the cord will reach. Read more
Works great! I am a professional and it is very light weight, not cumbersome. Heats up nice, but not too hot. Sometimes with the diffuser on it can warm up a little much, but on the whole I like it.I had to come back and edit this post, after using the blow dryer for over 6 months it is evident to me that there is a problem with the heating element. It does not get hot enough on the low setting but burns clients on the medium setting. Also, the diffuser does not stay on at all... Very frustrating! Read more
Lightest hairdryer I've ever encountered. My boyfriend and I both use this and it's worth the money we paid. I have thick, medium length hair (past my shoulders) and with my old hair dryer-or any I've used- it would take me close to an hour to get my hair dry. By that point my arms are hurting and my hair is a lions main and I just didn't have the energy to even get myself ready after the hassle.BUT with this BaBylissPro I got my hair dryer in 15-20 mins. That's me taking my time, parting sections and using my round boar brush. I'm sure if I did it all Willy nilly it would take maybe 7-10? This dryer is amazing. Even air flow, quiet, and simple settings. I'd recommend this so any friend and even you who is reading this now.Update: reviewed this on July 8th, 2017 and today, 7-19th, 2018 over a year later it still works just like the first day we used it. We use it every day! It’s been knocked off the counter by hips or our cats, and still solid and light and still amazing! Read more
This is my first non Conair, non $20 blow dryer. Don't know how I lived so long using crap. This blow dryer blows a thick and steady heat. I don't know how to really describe it, but it is definitely way more effective than all the ones I've used before. Read more
Dries very fast without a lot of heat. I have extremely thick, coarse, horse type hair. Hairdressers tremble when I walk in. Lol! My old dryer would get very hot and dry the outside of my hair without penetrating to the hair underneath so it would take forever to get it all dry and I would be sweating afterwards. I hated doing my hair. This dryer penetrates all of the hair and gets it done in a fraction of the old time. A huge benefit is I don't get hot and sweaty either! I can't say enough. I never knew a hair dryer could make such a difference. Oh! and my hair isn't as frizzy either! Best beauty purchase I've ever made! Read more
My old dryer died and I loved that thing. My stylist friends recommended this to me and it doesn't do even half as good of a job as my old one. It takes longer to dry and leaves my hair looking frizzy and damaged at the end. I'm devastated because my old one is no longer sold and I'm left with a dryer I hate and distrust. Also, the diffuser does not stay on at all and falls off at any angle. Read more
I never thought that the type of hair dryer you use could make such a difference! I have always blown my hair out and followed with a flat iron. I then read that for damaged hair, an ionic dryer is better because it doesn't just blast plain ole hot hair on your hair. I was skeptical, but needed to replace my old dryer anyway.I noticed a difference the very first time I used it, and was using all of the same products as before. My ends are not frizzy, and my hair dries quickly. I highly recommend it! Read more
