I have used these since my 8 month old was born and absolutely loved them!! I have ordered these from Amazon (not necessarily the same distributed though!!) before and had great products. Unfortunately I just ordered the box of 800 and opened the first package and it had a totally different (very strong chemical smell). I checked to make sure the ingredients were all the same from previous boxes and could not find any differences. Finally I started reading the reviews and came across this same situation with another customer. Upon opening her package she discovered the wipes were moldy. Sure enough I ripped open ours and the wipes also have quite a bit of mold!! I am so disappointed! Up until now I had never had any issues so I am not sure if it's bad batch or maybe a fake product as Amazon has had issues with replica products from sellers. Either way, be careful parents! These start out a little scary because they sort of look like wet dryer sheets. You can imagine wiping a baby's mess with a dryer sheet might be a bit frightening. But lo and behold they've never ripped and my hands have stayed free of baby poo. We use these on both my 2 year old and 3 month old and they work wonderfully. They stay wet enough to wipe even the driest mess (you know what I'm talking about). The best part is we don't have a wipe dispenser and have accidentally opened about 6 packages. We have one in the car, in the diaper bag and on the changing table. The packages seal up perfectly! You never reach for a wipe and have to pull out the first three to find a wet one because the adhesive top sticks well enough to retain all the moisture. We bought these because the ingredients appear to be the best for baby's skin, and so far we've had no redness or rashes. I am happy subscribed to receive these monthly. Read more

Wow—I just popped in to amazon to order more of these and was curious why only 3.5 stars. I guess a lot of people have been getting a product that wasn’t stored properly or something. We have had these on our subscribe & save for 5.5 years—since my first child was born. I’m very wary of chemicals in products—especially those I use on my children. I tried other wipes over the years but always came back to these. To us, they are the perfect thickness, and we use them for just about everything—cleaning hands & face, in a pinch: high chair tray, tabletops, countertops, and of course, diapering. We keep one at the changing table, one in the bathroom (they’re not flushable but my 5YO still asks for them!), one in our diaper bag, one in any bag we take anywhere with the kids, one in each car... I often joke I will be subscribing to this item for the rest of my life—we have so many uses for these! I’m sensitive to smell and have never noticed anything offensive about the way these smell... A few years ago, these were in low supply for some reason and we had to switch temporarily...we were so bummed by competitor offerings (even my kids noticed), I called Babyganics to ask what was up—just a manufacturing delay. (Whew!) In a perfect world, I would have made my own water wipes, but as a busy working mama of 2, that was never in the cards. DO NOT USE ON BABIES FACE!So we've been looking for a good wipe that is natural and cleans face and butt really good. Our baby has never had skin allergies to any other wipes or food nothing. These work amazing on her butt they clean her mess off much better than other wipes I've used. BUT when I used these on her face she instantly broke out all over red and splotchy. Shes never had a reaction before to anything and it didnt happen to her butt. We had a friend and her baby come over who has also never had allergies and she used one and the SAME thing happened.With these being face and baby wipes I think they are unsafe. I’m not sure why so many people think these smell terrible? They smell totally normal to me. Granted I’ve never purchased them prior to this so if they changed something I wouldn’t know. But my one year old has very sensitive skin, we have to use fragrance free everything and eczema lotion or he breaks out in rash, and these don’t irritate his skin at all. I use them on his face too. I’ve been using Babyganics baby wipes for over 3 years now with my eldest and now my infant and this batch of 800 even looked slightly off, the packaging seemed fabricated, like imitation. And sure enough as soon as I opened it, the smell was horrendous. The wipes smell disgusting. I can’t even describe it. I compared to the ones I have, the original babyganics and very differnet smell. These are either a cheap imitation or perhaps there’s something that Amazon isn’t telling us, but I do not trust these at all, and when it comes to my baby, organic and the best is all I’ll use on his little bum. We've been using these for my 2 ½ year old since a few months after he was born. He has really sensitive skin and they've never cause any sort of trash or irritation. They work really well, have good ingredients in them and no smell to them either.We usually get the 800 pack at a time and I've never had a bad or dried out pack. I usually store them upside-down until I'm ready to open them since they're really wet when you get to the bottom few. I even keep a pack in our diaper bag and they do surprisingly well at staying sealed. I don't use any sort of travel container, I just keep them in the bag they come in.
