This product is NOT the Burt’s bees baby wash we all use and love. The two I ordered arrived leaking, which seems to be a Very common review - I could look passed this. However, I then immediately noticed the consistency was different, and the smell (this product honestly smelled like Castile soap.) A lot of reviews speculate the formula has changed as a possible culprit, but I went to my local grocer and picked up the Exact same product in the store and the two ARE ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. Let me preface this by saying I usually LOVE Burt's Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash.... which is why this made me so sad. I have twin boys that are almost three. We've been using this product since they were babies. We've tried others but found that none of them compared to this one. I typically buy the normal one and somehow accidentally ordered the fragrance free one. That was my mistake. I was still going to use it UNTIL I looked at the bottle and the contents looked disgusting. They looked like some old greyish oatmeal that was watery and yet also seemed like it sat out too long. I'm super upset that this was the product we received because it certainly isn't the product that we've come to love. I will be returning (or just trashing it). I sincerely hope that this was a one-time error and we don't have to make the decision to spend our dollars elsewhere. :/ Read more

Item appears watered down and it was opened. typically products have a seal to prevent it from being opened and this obviously didnt. The pump had been on open and was pumping through its transit to my home.EDIT - so i decided to go to target and check if their product had a seal and it didn’t. I’ve been buying this product for nearly 5 years and I have 4 boys under the age of 4.5. I’m aware of the more liquid style of this wash and don’t mind because it still does an amazing job and one bottle usually lasts us a couple months.However, these went on sale, so I bought three because I like to stock up. Upon arrival, it is far lighter in color (basically completely clear) than the one I have that’s the same thing from Target and the smell is lighter than the one from Target as well. The bottles are full, but the product seems like it may have been watered down or mixed half or more with a cheaper soap. I’m incredibly confused about this, because I’m not aware of any current changes the company has made to the soap recipe.So, I don’t trust that these bottles weren’t tampered with. It seems that they changed their formula for their baby shampoo since my first purchase of it in June 2018. I made sure to buy the exact same kind, fragrance free, no tears formula. I even looked at the ingredients on the picture here on amazon to match them. The June 2018 version was a creamy, oat colored shampoo. What arrived today, has different ingredients list, and is a non creamy, clearish yellow soap. I am disappointed, b/c I thought I was ordering the same baby wash/shampoo. Read more

We've been buying this since my daughter was born in 2016. It was always a milky, creamy white color. The new bottle that I received is now a clear, yellow, honey-like color. I contacted the company, concerned that I had received a counterfeit product and they responded: "We replaced several ingredients in our Fragrance Free Shampoo & Wash for supply assurance reasons. As a result, the shampoo has changed from creamy white to clear yellow, but the formula is still a safe, effective, and gentle cleanser for your baby."Overall, I still like how this new formula cleanses. It is still gentle and doesn't irritate the skin. It is a bit now liquidy and I feel like it doesn't moisturize as well. Normally I didn't have to put moisturizer on my daughter after using, now I find myself using lotion more than before. Finally, the old formula, although fragrance free, had a really lovely natural oatmeal-type smell. It left my daughter's hair smelling wonderful. The new formula seems to have no discernible scent. I'd rather have no scent than some artificial fragrance, but I do miss the old scent. Read more

We've been using the fragrance-free Burt's Bees shampoo for years, and love it. Or, loved it. We ordered this, expecting the item pictured (the creamy, opaque, fragrance-free version). Instead we received the item that was not in the picture, but rather a clear (not creamy), and fragranced (while being falsely labeled fragrance-free) version. Please bring back the Burt's Bees that's actually fragrance-free! Read more

I love Burt's Bees products. It's the only wash I want to use on my young children. I went to replace our Fragrance Free & Tear Free Baby Soap, and was very disappointed. It arrived and seemed as if the bottles had leaked everywhere--no big deal, I thought they had maybe gotten too cold in our Wisconsin winter as it waited outside until I got home from work. Immediately the first time I opened one, it wasn't the normal "milky' color at all. I almost think that it was just filled with the wrong product, and I even had to double check if what I purchased was straight from Burt's Bees. I triple checked the UPC code to make sure I purchased the right thing, and it was...but what was inside was definitely not the right product. Read more
