Not a good product at all. I used similar sets 7 years ago for my son’s prints, and both turned out really good. Here are the things about this one:- it comes with plastic, not glass. The plastic is murky. Not sure if it’s supposed to be used for the frame?- there is not enough clay to fill the spots. It won’t roll out all the way- the little roller cannot be used to roll out the shorter direction of the frame as it is too long- each side of the frame is only big enough for one print - hand or foot.- as soon as I made the prints, the clay wrinkled up and cracked. Before it even had a chance to dry up.I feel disappointed because I wanted to do one month prints for my baby, and they turned out really bad. Read more

Got this for my husband, as our firstborn was about 7 weeks old at Christmas. The clay dries very quickly, and it's difficult to hold the frame so as to not mess up the first print. However, my husband is glad we have it, and it mostly works well. The messiness of the clay around the division is hidden by the frame, and the overall product looks crisp and professional. We had used a similar product with our first kid, and really liked it. This one sucked. It's cheap frame, plastic 'glass' that is scratched, and the clay is extremely fast to dry and not enough to fill the squared use the wood tool to smooth it. So frustrating. Had to try and push the little feet in way too hard to try and make the heel part of the print. Pissed off baby. And I kneaded it really good and tried to go faster for the second square. Still bad. This is my third baby hand and foot print. I picked something different for each of my baby. It included everything you need for prints and they were packaged nicely. However, my baby was not small (8lb). The print space was a little too small for my baby. We redid a couple of times to make it work. Read more

Oddly small picture size. I imagine that the size was stated and I just missed it assuming that it was a typical 4x6 but not sure why they would make one with such a small photo... you have to cut down a 4x6 to fit the frame so you lose a lot of the picture Read more

You are supposed to mold a perfect rectangle to fit inside the frame and that is almost impossible to do. The clay is supposed to be taped directly on the frame and not on a thick paper like other models. Instead of molding a rectangle, I decided to mold a cirle which was easier to do, then I glued it on to a thick pink paper. The issue I had was that the white border paper overlapped with my clay so it doesn't sit nicely. I don't recommend this one. Hard to roll out and there isn’t enough clay to make it flat so it doesn’t turn out too great. The clay is pretty hard even after you knead the clay so you have press quite firm to get a print. We didn’t want to press too hard with baby’s delicate tiny hands and feet so it’s just a light imprint. I was pretty disappointed. Plus you leave your finger marks on the frame inside handling the clay, though you don’t see them afterwards but I know they’re there....(a bit of a OCD) I would not gift this or buy it as parents. Great idea for a gift but very challenging to get it nice and straight on the frame. Also, challenging to get the bb hand and foot print like the image. Very hard to do on your own (if you plan to surprise your partner with it). Baby need to be sleeping to get any print done. Very disappointed! I got a similar Pearhead frame couple of years ago, for my first born, this time for my second, I couldn’t find it anywhere so I decided to settle for this frame, hoping it would do the trick at least upto some satisfaction, but boy, was I wrong! The frame looks extremely cheap, with plastic instead of glass that isn’t even very clear. The clay itself was very flakey and dried out really quickly! Couldn’t get good imprints even after trying four times. Even though I smoothed out the ball perfectly before rolling it out, it still had terrible cracks after it dried out. Compared to the clay that came with the Pearhead frame, that was extremely smooth, this looks awful! And to think this cost me a little more than the Pearhead frame did, just adds to the disappointment. Can’t even return it, cause already opened it.
