We bought a pressure mounted gate for the bottom of our stairs. In reading their installation instructions before we ordered it, we noticed that they recommended screwing the little cups that came with it into the wall to hold it in place. We didn't want to put holes in our wall so decided to get these. They work great. They were easy to install, hold the gate in place well, and protect the wall from damage. Read more
These aren’t terribly wide, so not a lot of surface area to grip the wall, but they work okay. The gate hasn’t fallen down in the few months since I put it up using these wall pads. The biggest negative for me is that I bought these to avoid screwing things into my doorway trim. I took the gate down a week or two ago for a family party and the painted trim was marred where the wall pads were. The trim was painted over a year ago, so it’s not fresh paint or anything.All in all, I suppose I’d rather have to lightly sand down those few spots and touch up the paint than to fill screw holes and touch up the paint. These are not secure at all. They have a screwhole in the center, which does not make a lot of sense to me because they are not supposed to be screwed into the wall. When I tried to use them they slid out of place when you tug on the gate and the gate anchors moved around in the cutouts that they were supposed to sit in. Read more
Quality is consistent, the silicone material goes all the way to the edge. I'm using a Dream Baby gate, and the circular ends fit perfect in the product. So far no issue with our drywall.Giving 4 stars b/c it is a pain to assemble alone. It would help to have an extra set of hands to hold the product on while putting the gate on the wall. They kept falling off, there is no adhesive or material that sticks to the gate. Otherwise, great so far!Not a product issue, but ensure your space is wide enough to accommodate the width/depth of this protector in addition to the adjustability of your gate. We have a standard baseboard, and it is not wide enough to accommodate the protector, so the gate is above the baseboard (annoying to step over). Read more

This product isn't useful for the cost. I tested two same model gates on the same wall... one with protectors and one without. Saw no damage to either location, but the one with these protectors on was poorly calibrated and more difficult to open every time. I think it's the shape of them. These gates nowadays are made to be used without protectors it seems, so I wanted to warn anyone considering buying these alongside a gate to go ahead and skip it and save your cash! Read more
I ordered these to protect my walls and it does that job. They are secure. The only problem is related to my gates and not this product. My gates have rivets that has a rubber part attached and I do not want to remove them to screw these on the gates. I do suspect that they can be removed and replaced with a screw which would solve that problem. I would order these again Read more
I purchased these along with a gate. I didn't keep them because the gate I purchased didn't work in my doorway. However, they worked very well to protect my walls from the pressure of the gate. I would buy them again if I could find a gate that would fit my doorway! They are easy to use and an inexpensive way to protect your walls from damage. Read more
