I got this for my 5 month old and they are HUGE. She has difficulty to grasp them and usually ended up throwing them to the side if she even managed to hold them for long. Now she is 6 months old and better with manipulating them with 2 hands but still they are so big.The concept and design is nice, with entertaining textures and good quality, but if they were just a few centimeters smaller, they may be more enjoyable and easier for baby to hold. Now, about the different colors and features....The yellow one has a star printed on the side with raised texture, and some other designs printed on the sides, and a jingle bell inside. The green one has a turtle face she likes to see, and a small nice quality mirror with ribbons for her to pull. The pink one has a soft satin shell attachment that opens like a door to reveal an oyster face, she likes that a lot.The blue one has a smiley octopus on one side with a compressed ribbon attachment; when you pull on it, it vibrates. But you need to hold the cube with one hand and grab the ribbon and pull with another hand to make this work, and as I said the cube is very large so it’s kind of impossible for baby to do by herself unless she is much older/bigger.Overall nice toys but could be improved. Baby is not as interested in them as other toys she has. My 3 year old toddler likes to stack these blocks more than her, lol. Read more
One of the blocks has a flap with a sun on it that hides a little mirror. I had to cut that flap off because my baby kept putting it in his mouth, and it would get sticky when wet from the glue! Not cool, I hate to think of him eating glue. After I removed that flap he had no interest in putting any of the other blocks in his mouth. I give them three stars because despite the glue situation, we have had a lot of fun with these. My son has a great time knocking them over after I stack them up! I got them when he was about 4 months old, and at 10 months he still plays with these often. Read more
Let me start by saying my child is blessed to have a huge family and after Christmas she has just about every toy in the world. Seriously, it's like we live at babies r us. Out of all the popular, fancy, smart, elaborate toys she has, she will choose these blocks every time. They are worth their weight in gold. Especially the one with the jingly bell in it. We take them everywhere. Should they ever go missing, I will buy another set immediately. I also plan to give these as a gift to anyone with a baby under 1. My daughter is 6 months now but has been enjoying them since around 4 months at least. And they're $10! Win!!! Read more
We received an older version of these blocks as a hand me down and they're great! But they're several years old and the vibrating frog one quickly broke, so I ordered a new set since my baby loves the vibrating frog. The new ones are a disappointment. The blocks have images that small babies don't care about, and they aren't a solid color, and one of them doesn't even have a rattle or jingle in it or any special textures on it. The old set had tons of textures on each block. Read more
Although the item is made by Baby Einstein, it is far from a challenging way to get children to learn. My daughter likes that one has a small mirror covered by a sun to play peek-a-boo but that is the only one that she plays with. There is one that has a rattle sound so she likes that sometimes. The toy has become more of a chewing device for my daughter. I will have to throw them away when they are dirty though because they do not seem like they are machine washable. They are cloth so you cannot really wipe them off either. Read more
My son loves these blocks and has for months. Each block has a tag on it which (while probably not intentional) makes it easier to hold onto for my son and more interesting. He likes them so much I bought another set for my nephew.A couple of the blocks aren’t completely perfectly square but it doesn’t effect how to play with them. Kind of like the cover was sew on too tight. They survived a trip through the washing machine after the dog threw up on them. I didn’t put them in the dryer, just set them in a sunny window over a vent to dry. Read more
These blocks are adorable and the perfect size for little hands. They're very soft, cute colours; my 9 month old currently enjoys picking them up and dramatically letting them fall from her raised hands. It's relieving to finally have a toy I don't have to worry about her concussing herself with as she waves it frantically in front of her face. I do wish that they all made some noise, but the vibrating string on one of the blocks is also great. I'll admit I bought these because they were half the price of the Haba soft blocks, and I absolutely do not regret it. Great value, which is rare with baby toys. Read more
Meh. My child is not at all interested. Too much stuff in them and not enough bright colors and textures. One of them has a mirror and another has a strange vibrate function that is hard so neither can be tossed for risk of hurting the baby. Vibration works for a couple of seconds- just long enough to frustrate him. Would not buy again. Read more
I didn’t even get what I ordered...DO NOT BUY- you do not get what is pictured!! You get cheap tacky small soft blocks with horrible designs.NOT IMPRESSED Read more
4 month old loves grabbing hold of these, they are lovely to look at and the have a range of interesting pictures, numbers etc that I imagine will be great for her learning as she gets older.Added later: baby is now 10 months and still makes a beeline for these over other toys. Embarrassingly, we adults hadn't noticed for quite some time that there a few 'secrets' to the cubes! (such as a really fun cord to pull on the frog which makes the cube vibrate). They've kept their shape. Very good value for the length of time baby is having fun with them so far. Read more
Soft, good quality, easy to hold. My little boy was 9 months when I bought these and he loves them, especially the cube with the peekaboo mirror. Read more
Absolute waste of time. I should have listened to other reviews claiming that the product is nothing at all like the description. Not sea themed or lovely colours at all, they are cheap, tacky and have weird designs on such as random footballs and random words in different languages. Really unimpressed and not what I ordered! These were interesting, kept bub entertained for a while but soon got bored with them. I do however love the one that vibrates although the pull tab is to hard for a 7month old to pull themselves, I have to do it for him but he does love it. Read more
