It works for what I need it for. I have my baby sleep in a bassinet and only use this for a few hours in the morning when baby won't sleep unless I'm cuddling her. I don't think I would like it if i was planning on using it for an entire night.Pros:-It is light and portable.-It has a convienient dip in the siding that is placed perfectly for me to put my arm around my baby.-It's safer than not having anything while co-sleeping.Cons:-While I understand babies need hard surfaces to sleep on, the plastic underneath is so hard and the mattress so thin that my baby will only sleep on it if she's dead tired.-The mattress is made of polyurethane, which is said to be unsafe for the baby =( .-If the bed is not totally flat, baby WILL roll/slide and have face pushed up against the side (it's really difficult to have the bed level enough because if you're next to the Sleeper and the bed dents with your weight, then baby will slide into the sides). This has been absolutely perfect for our newborn. He wouldn't sleep in his packnplay basinette at all, he would only sleep in bed with me. He transitioned to this in our bed so easily. After a couple weeks I moved it to the packnplay and now he sleeps in there fabulously. Soon I'm going to move it to the crib. He is 6 weeks, 23 inches and 12 pounds and sleeps in it fine, he still has room.Edited to add: he is now 13 pounds and 25 inches and is still fitting in it! Read more

This worked wonderfully for our infant for about four weeks. I especially like the nightlight for changing diapers and checking on baby throughout the night. I only have two complaints.First: The sides lost their shape pretty quickly. I would occasionally lean my arm on the side while soothing the baby back to sleep. I noticed that the side started to sag about a week after I started doing that.Second: Our child started to wiggle his way around the bassinet when he was 3 weeks old. By 4 weeks, he could wiggle his legs over the purely mesh part of the sides where the bassinet is meant to fold. He would get almost completely sideways. I wish that the sides were more sturdy to prevent both of these things from happening.Overall, I was pleased and plan to use it again if we have another child but only for about 4 weeks then move them to the pack n play beside our bed. My husband and I purchased this out of desperation to get our LO to sleep better. While it does do the job, it is definitely lacking. My biggest complaint is the design. Although it is nice that it folds for travel, the middle (where it bends to fold) has no support and causes the baby to not be entirely flat if not on a super flat, solid surface. Unless your bed is very firm, it will not be 100% flat. I feel like this could have been easily remedied, but nonetheless. Also, I do not feel like the sides are truly that breathable, which is definitely a concern. Despite them being partially mesh, they are quite thick. I would personally have liked for them to be a little more transparent so that while I am lying next to my son I could see him through the mesh, without having to raise up to look inside. All in all, it just depends on what you are looking for and for what reason you need it. Knowing what I know now and for me personally, if you are looking for an in-bed co sleeper for daily use, I would consider other options. Read more

I bought this for a baby shower gift. It’s priced a little high at $45 , but it’s okay. It will be great for maybe 2 months of the baby’s life. It’s not as sturdy as I thought it might be. When the baby is laying in the bed you can not pick it up and move it around. My pictures show it with a fake baby filled with diapers & you still can not pick the bed up. It will fold if you do. Really wanted to practice co-sleeping with my future newborn, but refused to pay $180 for a fancy pillow, regardless of the reviews. Began looking for different co-sleeper options and found the Snuggle Nest on multiple outlets. Looking at pictures and reading the specs, I was interested to try it out (especially for the price!) When it arrived, I was blown away by how every piece of fabric comes off of the pad and shell piece, making washing it a breeze. I think I actually prefer the harder sides to the raised pillowy ones of the Doc A Tot because I think it will better deter rollover. It folded up tightly and is currently stored in our closet until our nugget arrives, but traveling will be so much easier with this than even the playpen and he can just sleep with me. This sleeper was a decent purchase for a newborn as we were on travel. It did it's job. I would say that the padding could be improved. It was certainly convenient to travel with. The biggest flaw is the missing support in the center which would cause your baby's back to curve if laid on an extremely soft surface (slight dip on hard surfaces). Basically, I have learned that there is nothing that you can use to "hold" your baby once they have started rolling, including this item. I purchased this when my baby was around a month old to use in the living room during the daytime when I wanted to be near her. Unfortunately, we were not able to use it long, as she started rolling shortly thereafter and it says to discontinue use after baby can roll. A crib is pretty much the only place you can put them safely once they start doing so. This was a major waste of money, as we were only able to use it for a tiny while. Read more
