This was very cute, but started to fray in spots after the first wash and dry. I washed it in cold water on delicate cycle and used medium heat tumble dry, so I was a little surprised to see its condition afterwards. Falsely advertised as a Baby Aspen product. I got my friend the same robe but from Target for her baby and it is much better quality. This one doesn't even have a tag on it and just came in a plastic bag. It isn't soft at all and there are loose strings all over it. The color is a very strange blue, not the color of the actual Baby Aspen brand robe at all. It is a very rough terry cloth and I wouldn't want it on my baby's skin. Read more

I fell in love with how cute this shark robe is. I should have known better because I read enough reviews before I purchased it that said that this is not the soft, absorbent robe I was looking for. I bought it anyway because ... (did I mention I thought this was adorable?) Ok, it is cute, but I put it on my son exactly one time. I snapped a few pictures and put it away because It's just too scratchy against skin. I can't stand wearing scratchy clothes myself so why would I want to dress someone in it whose best way to complain is to shriek? :)A few other negative points for it: it wasn't as long as I was hoping for, and it doesn't absorb water well. I should have gone with my gut instinct and passed. (But it's so cute!) If you are getting this to take pictures in, great. Bought as a gift for a friend's baby. When it arrived in a box with other baby gifts this absolutely stood out to me over the others, it was impossibly adorable--moreso than expected, the pictures somehow don't do it justice! Have been buying Baby Aspen gifts for years, this one is at the top of my list, now! My friend loved it, started using it right away, and what's great is that she can use it for her son and her daughter, hooray gender-neutral! It's a very cute but not practical for drying off a baby after swimming/bathing. It's too short and when I get out of the pool with my baby I immediately want to dry him but there's not enough fabric. I didn't realise when I bought it that it comes to his knees, he's only 6 months old. I still like the design so I'll keep it, but I'm going to buy him a beach towel so his whole body is covered when he first gets out the pool. Read more

Was a gift, so not sure how durable. It’s thick and looks durable though. Bought for my new baby nephew, and his two year old sister promptly put it on and sang the baby shark song, so it was a hit! To be clear though, it is definitely baby size; my niece is very tiny and it barely went around her, so I wanted to be clear that I am not recommending for a two year old.
