I have used Babo moisturizing baby cream for years. When this product arrived from BootDMHele I opened it and immediately knew something was wrong. Not only was coloration off but the smell was unlike any Babo product I’ve ever used. What should usually have a very faint oatmeal smell this smelled like spruce and had a pinkish coloration. Seems to me like it was tampered with from seller. I wrote for refund and amazon immediately refunded my money. Had been using this off and on for a few years for the eczema my daughter gets on her hands - they get rough - so I set up a subscribe and save for the 2-pack several months ago. Her hands worsened - they got very red - and didn't notice the "improved formula" label on the container and the ingredient list change until just recently. So she stopped using it and her hands cleared up right away! They're still rough but at least they're not bright red. If something isn't broken, why is it "fixed"? Ugh. We've used this product for 6 years and we get it auto shipped. The last batch that came was off, it had a pinkish color and "wetter" texture. Then I noticed on the label it said, "New and improved formula." Not improved in my mind. Bring back the other formula. We will be ending our subscription based on the new formula. Read more

This cream came highly recommended from an all "naturals" blog and rated very well on ewg. It's nice and creamy with a soft scent. However, when I used it on my 4 month old daughter she had a terrible reaction. The first reaction required a doctor's visit and some steroid cream. Because the ingredients are so natural and don't have high risks associated with them, we weren't sure the cream was the culprit of the outbreak. So we tried it again and again another reaction. Our 6 week old infant started developing cradle cap on his face and a rash all over his body, which looked like a red, bumpy, scaly rash. His skin felt like sandpaper, was very dry, and was beginning to be very itchy for him. We were not sure what to put on it to help him with his itch and didn't want to expose him to new chemicals in other products. There are very few chemical-free products available that can go on an infant's face. This cream cleared up his face rash in about 3 days! After he suffered from the progressing rash for over a week and a half, we were so amazed (and extremely thankful) at how fast his skin improved (texture, hydration, and appearance).The cream smells strongly like botanicals, but this is a pleasant scent. It is a light cream with a smooth feeling, which is very moisturizing. We had to apply it about 3x/day to keep his skin hydrated for treatment purposes. We then put a barrier ointment (un-petroleum) over each layer to help the product stay on his skin longer.We are very satisfied with this product and will definitely start a subscription as a result. I have very sensitive skin and made the mistake of using a face moisturizer not formulated for sensitive skin. I only used it once, because my face was feeling dry and it was the only one available. For the next 2 1/2 days my face felt like it was on fire, was bright red and bumpy. My regular sensitive skin moisturizer wasn't helping. I ordered Babo, hoping I wasn't making a mistake. It arrived and with trepidation I put some on. It did sting for the first minute or so, but has worked miracles. My morning most of my face was almost back to it's normally complexion and the bumpiness was alleviated. The next day it was still irritated but I could tell healing. I can't say my skin is soft, (which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars), but it's a wonderful calming lotion. I've read people don't like the scent. So, I’ve had a red and broken-out chest for years now. This has been clearing it up. I also have eczema on my face and I currently use Cerave but I wanted to try something more natural. This has been leaving my fave feeling pretty tight. It’s been controlling my eczema but I know it’s not going to cut it in the winter. And I’ve been getting pimples. I almost never get pimples. I’m 39, I maybe get one every 3 months. My face was basically sandpaper before I started using this product. It's absolutely transformed my face. I swear it's like a team of little tiny fairies left dew drops on my face and miraculously transformed the sandpaper into dewy baby soft skin. I have extremely sensitive dry skin and everything I've tried causes problems. I'm allergic to fragrances and most serums cause terrible rashes. While this product does have a noticeable smell, it's not a chemical smell and for some reason, it doesn't bother my skin. I think it's the natural scent of the calendula. It feels super soft and moisturizing which is why I gave it two stars. But as soon as I rubbed it on my 4 month old, who has super dry, sensitive and eczema skin, I was overwhelmed with the scent. Way too strong for a baby. So now I’ll use it but I find myself over powered by the scent as well. Definitely won’t purchase it again. Smells like a floral cheap perfume. Read more
