Given this is a product from Aveeno, I was taken by surprise by the heavy scent. It is so strong that I am unable to use it. It smells like old drug store perfume! It bothers my sinuses and makes my eyes burn, water and turn red; and I'm not getting any product anywhere near my eyes! I use Aveeno lotions and other products which have very little or no scent. I have used Aveeno products in the past and their oatmeal lotions tend to be fragrance free and great for people with perfume sensitivities. This conditioner is *not* like that. Previous reviewers have noted a "light" scent but I was disappointed that this conditioner was quite perfumed and cloying. This purchase will, unfortunately, have to go straight into the trash. A lot of people don’t realize that what they put in their hair could give them an allergic reaction. On top of that most of the same people dislike hair oils. now there allot of products with silicone/ honey like ingredients that acts like a sticky hair spray and will knot up your hair and break it. I’ve bought this many times from the store and always liked it but this one from Amazon was different. It dried my hair out, made my scalp burn and the formula was way thicker. I looked at the back of the bottle and the badge in the upper right hand corner is not the same as on my old bottle so either it’s a new thing or it’s actually a fake. I’m leading toward fake. I just received the shampoo and conditioner today and used them today. Very clean feeling. My hair doesn't feel bogged down and overly slick. They were both easy to rinse out and didn't have mounds of lather. Lather was just right. I also noticed that my hair now smells slightly of oatmeal cookies. I love oatmeal cookies! I also used the leave-in 'milk' by Aveeno so my hair had a little spa treatment, lol. Very happy with this so far. Read more

This is the best conditioner I've ever had in my entire life! I have a flakey and dry scalp (was diagnosed with Seborrhea Dermatitis) and have tried everything from prescription to Salon products and this and the corresponding shampoo have been the most successful thus far! I use this conditioner with the Aveeno Scalp Soothing shampoo that goes with it. For someone reason, my scalp was really itching but I don't have dandruff. I figured I needed to try a shampoo that doesn't have all the harsh chemicals that regular shampoo does. I usually use expensive shampoos that you aren't supposed to be able to buy at a grocery store. So I was a little worried about using what I considered a "cheap" shampoo. I put this in my hair once a week or so over night and it has been keeping the moisture in my hair.I will also put it in my hair after a shower and its been helping tremendously. I have very dry hair in the winter. Read more
