I've been using this with the Aveeno Blackberry and Quinoa color protection shampoo for over a month now. I think this conditioner is plenty moisturizing, and has a light scent that's a little perfumey.My problem is, I have sensitive skin and it's making my back break out. I'm not prone to bacne, and these breakouts are limited to my shoulders and back of my neck. This isn't an experience I've had with many other conditioners, and I like to switch brands a lot.This is definitely a thick conditioner, so maybe it has more of whatever ingredient can also clog pores. What a horrible product! Both shampoo and conditioner. It left my thin, fine hair feeling drier than straw, and super frizzy and rough. Lots of hair fell out in the shower. The conditioner doesn't condition and you have to use a ton in comparison to other conditioners just for it to coat your ends. And to use as much as I did each time, I would expect untangled, smooth, hair. Anything but...and my hair is generally straight with a slight wave in certain spots. I used it both items twice to give it a fair shot, however the amount of hair loss in the shower (and consistent hair fallout throughout the day after using it) made me quit trying to see if my hair just needed to acclimate. Second time I used it I pre-conditioned all my hair (roots included) with the conditioner, then washed with the shampoo, then conditioner again but only the mid lengths and ends of my hair (fine, thin hair gets weighted down if you condition roots with a heavy conditioner, hence my strategy). It felt horrible. I rinsed extra well the 2nd time because the first time it felt as if there was a tacky residue on my hair. Same thing the 2nd time around. I bought it for the scalp promises it claimed (seasonal dry, itchy scalp and sensitivity with no dandruff), and the moisturizing, soothing properties it claimed. I have an itchy scalp after a hair dye and thought, given the high rating and good reputation Aveeno has, that this would help with the itchiness. I really regret trying this shampoo and I am going to return it. After one use, my hair has the texture of straw. When my hair touches my skin, my skin feels itchy. The back of my neck feels itchy and is broken out in small pimples. The shampoo also slightly stripped the ends of my hair of color. I shampooed my hair with my regular shampoo and used Olaplex 3 and Olaplex 5 in an attempt to help my hair, but nothing has changed. I have a feeling that I'm going to have this problem for a while.If you try this, please patch test this in a small area. If you do have a bad reaction to it, at least it won't be all over. The scent, while not unpleasant, lasts a couple of days. I haven't written reviews in a while, but felt a duty to inform people after my bad experience. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Read more

This product does wonders for my hair. I have a hard time finding a shampoo that cleanses without stripping, but this is it! Look no further! I have medium thickness hair that is VERY dense and long in length. It is color treated on the bottom. The smell is kind of boring but thankfully it doesn’t stick around so you can layer it with whatever products you usually use and there won’t be contrasting scents. Read more
