With all the hype I've heard about Aveda Shampure, I finally ordered a couple of these bottles. I was pleased with the quick delivery, and was pretty pleased after using the first bottle, even though the lather quality wasn't as great as I'd hoped, which forced me to use more of the product. The scent was pleasant and it rinsed clean and my skin and hair didn't feel stripped. In fact, after about a month using this product, my dry skin improved dramatically. However, when I got to the second bottle, it's like I was using a different product. I've read other reviews (complaints) about this product being updated and their original ingredient list has changed (seems like not for the better). The scent was similar, but the feel of it seemed more slimy and wouldn't lather up as well as the first bottle, which I already thought the first bottle's lather quality wasn't all that great, but the second bottle was even worse. And the worst part is my dry skin issues started coming back again. What gives? Same product/bottle/scent is pretty similar but performance between the two bottles are like night and day. Aveda Shampure Shampoo is the best I’ve every used. The smell is simply inviting. It’s not a strong smell. It’s really a very clean smell .The Conditioner is the same way. I’ve been using it now for a little over 25 years. I won’t use anything else. Read more

When I opened the box, I saw that the shampoo had leaked inside the plastic wrap. I probably lost three ounces or more. Huge disappointment!! They should tape down the bottle cap, so it can’t leak. Read more

I have fine, slightly greasy hair. I find that this shampoo weighs it down and it seems greasier than normal. It is likely that it just doesn't suit my hair type, but I mention this as it comes up online as recommended for it. This is a lovely shampoo. It smells great - lemongrass. I have quite a sensitive scalp and often products make my head itch. This one doesn't at all. It's expensive, but makes your hair nice and smells fab. Read more
