I couldn't believe how good these were! YUM!That being said, if you are going for sugar free, there are some important things to know. "Tols" as I call them are classified as sugar alcohols. Your body doesn't digest them. The good news is that they don't spike blood sugar like other carbs because of that. The bad news is that it can cause really stinky farts and/or diarrhea (why is that word spelled like that? I NEVER get it right on the first try) in large quantities. Just because something is sugar free (or fat free or low cal or whatever you're going for) doesn't mean you should gorge yourself on it. It's a treat. Treat it that way. That goes for all these "tols" - Sorbitol, Mannitol, Xylitol, & Maltitol. When it comes to those unpleasant butt issues, the only exception I've found so far in the "tols" is Erythritol (no, I don't know how to pronounce it) and luckily it is becoming more common in products. You can also just buy it by the bag and it looks like sugar. I buy it on Amazon and some grocery stores carry it too. There are a few stevia brands on the market that include it as well, like Wholesome Organics and Splenda. If you are honestly trying to be healthier - READ LABELS! Then look up ingredients you aren't familiar with.If you are just trying to pig out on snack food, not eat healthy foods, and still lose weight and/or be healthier ... well ... there are some books on witchcraft online too. Maybe give that shot? I wish you luck. For the rest of us, maybe just copy and paste any of these into your search engine and be an informed consumer:Do sugar alcohols raise blood sugarWhat is a sugar alcoholWhat is the best sweetener for diabeticsWhy do I fart when I eat maltitolWhy do people write bad reviews because they didn't bother to read the descriptionAm I just complaining online because I'm unhappy with my lifeKnowledge is power. Whining is unattractive.Cheers to your Health & Happiness! I wish you all the best. Read more

Wish I'd noticed before I purchased. Maltitol has a glycemic index of 52, way to close to table sugar at 60. Gives rise in blood sugar esp if eaten alone. Stalls low carb weight loss :( Read more

Wow these things are great! They taste just like a snickers bar. But they have 7 grams of protein and 3 net carbs. They're also super low in sugar with only 2 grams. And not to mention all the fiber they have. I eat one of these after dinner almost every night. To me they taste like a regular candy bar and nothing like "diet food". They do contain peanuts as well as whey protein so if are sensitive to allergens you'll have to pass these ones up. The sweetener in them is mannitol so be careful as it'll upset your stomach if you eat too much. My boxes had at least 6 months left before the expiration date. They're a little more expensive online but if you catch a coupon and s&s it helps a lot. Great macros, ok ingredients, but fantastic taste... they may be worth the upset stomach. Read more

Best Atkins low carb treat so far!!! I have tried so many different ones to find something that will help my sweet tooth without sending me way over on carbs & these are it!!! They actually taste like a candy bar. The caramel is chewy and the chocolate doesn’t taste off like the peanut butter cups. If you’re into peanuts chocolate & caramel try this you will not be disappointed! OH lastly I was surprised with how big these are!! They are a decent size!!! Picture was after I took a bite sorry. Dieting is the pits, but I've lost 12 pounds and am motivated to stick to it. I've avoided sweets completely and basically replaced dessert with yogurt (boring!). While these bars do have sugar in them, it is low enough that I can eat 1/2 a bar without damaging the diet. These Caramel Chocolate Nut Roll Bars are really good, and a couple bites is enough for me to get past the urge to cheat. These should be passed out at couples counseling...LOL! Read more

About 6 months ago, I was giagnosed with type 2 Diabetes. On that day, i threw out all the soda, chocolates, ice creams, bread and rice in my house. I immediately went on a low carb diet. My A1C was 11.8, way above the 6.5 line for being diagnosed with diabetes. My meals only were Beef, chicken and fish with green vegetables. I tired to limit my Net carbs to 20 grams a day. I tested my urine everyday as well as my blood. In between meals, I would have one of these bars between breakfast and lunch, and another one between lunch and dinner. After 6 months, I am happy to report I am no longer at the diabetic level. My blood glucose is at the pre-diabetic level, and going down. I am so happy. An added benefit of this is that I have lost 50 pounds. My weight loss is slowing but I have not felt this good in 25 years. This bar was part of the routine that made the transition to low carb very pleasant. My kids are so happy as well that I do not look so sick anymore. I went from a size 42 to a size 38.The best part of it is that I love chocolates, and this tastes like Baby Ruth. I have recommended this to many friends and they all love it and say that they too have lost weight. Read more

NEVER AGAIN! This product contains maltitol which is a very cheap sugar alternative. I ate two small pieces of this candy bar and immediately felt sick. I spent half the night throwing up due to the nausea and painful gas that the maltitol gave me. This candy bar made my throat and tongue numb and my stomach burn. Avoid Atkins if you’re doing low carb or keto because they continue to use maltitol to save costs while other companies are using erythritol which is a lot safer for your body. This was an extremely expensive box of candy so I do expect better ingredients. Read more

These are delicious. I have to keep myself from eating the whole box the first day. If you’re eating low carb and like sweets with chocolate, nuts, and caramel, I would definitely recommend trying these. Read more

Having tried most of the Atkins bars, these are by far the most convincing and treat-like. Some of the varieties are a bit dry and hard work, others are so chewy they're going round and round in your mouth for ages! Others are just not that tasty, even though they fill a sweet gap. These however are in a different league! We call them Picnics, as the shape and chocolate nutty exterior is very reminiscent. The middle is a lovely soft nougat and all in all these are actually verging on delicious. Given the choice between an actual Picnic and this I'd still choose a Picnic, but when low carbing and there is no option of the real thing, I'd happily chow down on one of these every day. (In fact, I hid one so that my boyfriend couldn't scoff them all!)Shame that all Atkins bars are so expensive, but having tried to make my own LC treats with varying degrees of success) it's worth paying a bit for some handy guilt free snacks.I definitely recommend these (but only if the suppliers can guarantee that there is a plentiful supply of them to go round. Otherwise I'm going to change my review to 2 stars!) Read more

These are good. They taste just like normal chocolate bars similar to Lion Bars or other similar bars which contain caramel and nuts. However, and it's a big however, they are very expensive. There are only 5 bars in a box, so the cost per bar is over £2.50. That's a lot. So for me these will be an occasional treat. Read more

These are lovely and so delicious. Only drawback is the price. £2 a bar is really expensive, and for that reason alone brings the rating down. Read more
