Have used spinbrush for more years than I can remember. There is a new, small hole in the handle, where your fingerswrap around the handle, with this new brush. Because we had no idea that the new Spinbrush leaked water into the motor and battery compartment, we were puzzled when a yellow/rust/black water would leak out of the small hole when we set the brush down for a few minutes. We placed our comb and toothbrush on a washcloth only to discover a stain that leaked out. The brushes were used as all our Spinbrushes, never allowed to be submerged, just rinsed off quickly and dried with a wash cloth. Because this had to start leaking the first time we used them, but it took 5 weeks to notice the stain on the wash cloths, not knowing where they came from at first, when we looked at the "clean" wash cloths after laundry, the time was past to return. So much for the "new" Spinbrush. DO NOT BUY!!!!! Read more

Did like the way it cleans. Did not like the fact that liquid got into the battery compartment and caused it to stop working. Water and foam from brush head goes down into the body where the motor is and a bit seeps into where the batteries are. Just enough to stop it. I've had these type of brushes before. Never had this happen. The gasket is in place as it should be. Needs to be made to keep liquid from getting to the motor area and batteries. I've been very careful not to run water over the body of it after I take the brush head off to rinse it. I dry the battery compartment as well. I store it separated and upside down. Just wonder if anyone else has the same problem. Read more

I liked the spin brush initially because it seemed more effective than a manual brush, but after a week or two of use the cheap paint colors on the brush handles began rubbing off. The paint smears on your hands and onto the brush handle, and I am sure we ended up ingesting some of the paint before realizing what had happened. This happened to my family with at least 3 different spinbrushes. Would not buy unless you don’t mind ingesting cheap paint everyone you brush your teeth and use your hand to rinse your mouth. We have been using Crest spinbrush tooth brushes for years and although they wear out after a couple years of use they have been dependable. I didn’t see the Crest brand when I needed some new ones but these Arm and Hammer looked like the same thing but I was very wrong. Out of the package, one was slower than expected and the other would spin until it touched my teeth. I thought they must just need new batteries but replacing the batteries didn’t help. The slow one lasted a couple days with marginal performance and when I went to change batteries again the battery compartment had a bunch of water and gross toothpaste gunk from two days usage so evidently the seals are not working. This has never been a problem with the Crest brand up to this point but they are probably made in the same factory so I guess I’ll be buying one of the rechargeable Oral B or Water pik models. These were a complete waste of Money! Read more

This item is so large. The head is twice as big as most which makes it very hard to get to back teeth. It's also very loud. It sounds like a jackhammer. After using it for a week, I started having bad breath for the first time in my life! Returned this item. I like the Slim Sonic toothbrushes. Yes, they only vibrate but I never have bad breath and have gotten excellent dentist reviews since using it. I just thought maybe this product would be even better...it's not! Read more

Recently discovered these "hybrids" - something in between a disposable battery-operated vibrating manual toothbrush and an actual electric toothbrush (rechargable or plug in). I think it's plenty powerful for my tiny little mouth. Some people say the brush head is too big. If it's being compared with a true electric brush, than yes, it's bigger. But since this is more of a hybrid, I feel that the size is just right - about the same as my manual oral b.This seems to be the perfect realization of some ironic noncommittal's dream of having their favorite manual toothbrush also be able to spin and pulse electrically without ever plugging into the wall.I intend to use rechargeable batteries once the originals die, which should negate the potential waste. Probably disputable to say it's more eco-friendly to throw out half a toothbrush every 3 months than a whole manual one, but I'll risk it by saying so.My one gripe is color options. I knew I would get a random color pair, but I didn't anticipate a My Little Pony color combo of sparkly purple and pink. Sweet manly husband said he'll take the purple one. I tried taking a sharpie to it, but it's no better. Just a heads-up, it could happen to you!UPDATE:The sharpie attempt was a disaster. I bought him the updated version which has a new switch design with rubber buttons (and no little girly colors). So far, it's working great.www.amazon.com/dp/B001J4ID5K/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_oTn54hofjPd2G Read more

The spin brush works as described. I gave the package to my hubby because the spin part was nicking my gums. I had been using a Phillip's Sonicare (different models through the years), but for the price the newer ones were not lasting as long as the older models. I decided to try this instead. My husband loves this model and has absolutely no issues with it. The price and the quality are fantastic and I would recommend this as a quality product. The problem is with me, not the toothbrush. After having tried some other toothbrush designs, I have returned to the Spinbrush. It works the best for me and this set is terrific. You get two toothbrushes, so you can have for use at home and one for travel. Plus, you get four replacement heads instead of having to purchase them separately. I find the Spinbrush gets in all the spaces between my teeth and I have had great dental check-ups which I credit to a combination of the type of toothbrush, the type of toothpaste, and getting regular cleanings.
