I wasn't keen on having a wet bar in my shower melt away so I took an old potato peeler I didn't like and shaved bits off the bar into a plastic container with a twist on lid. I take a few bits (like 3-4) shavings, put them into a small travel bottle, add a bit of hot water and shake to get bits melted. Then apply to wet hair. It's been working pretty good and my scalp has itched less after two washing. I definitely see I will have months of shampoo and no plastic bottles to waste my time washing to most likely not be recycled. I have to add a saved a chunk of the shampoo bar so when I get low I can reorder more, but tempted to just order a couple of more bars to be sure this particular brand and formula I can get. I have a very sensitive nose, so smells play a big role for me. This bar smells great, not too powerful, and not too vague - just right and unique. It lathers up real well, and it feels very hydrating and smooth. However, it is anything but that after all is said and done. My hair was a giant mess, stiff, and was left feeling super heavy. I decided to use my daughter's detangler which is usually great leaving the hair smooth and residue free. Not this time. It was AWFUL. After blow drying it, I was left with a stiff, whitish and heavy wig-like hair. Impossible to manage, and felt super dirty towards the end of the day. The next day, I could have lift it the hair and it would have stood up on its own. However, I thought maybe I used too much or didn't rinse well, so I used it a second time and this time I rinsed extra good. No matter. Three days later and after using my old shampoo, I still can't get rid of the residue and stiffness. It has STRIPPED all the shine off my hair. I hope I can get it back. This product states that it’s made from 3 ingredients on the Amazon listing (which are supposedly organic and natural) but the actual package had more listed, including fragrance which could be any combination of chemicals. The scent is so overpowering I find it hard to believe it’s even remotely natural. Giving 3 stars tho bc it works great for my hair, I don’t even need to use conditioner. First of all, I literally loved the package. It’s totally echo friendly packaging with no extra useless plastic covers. When I placed this shampoo soap to my bathroom it was too pretty to use. Anyone who is looking for boozy bathroom this is it. It made my hair really stuck so I need to use my own rinse, I highly recommend everyone to use their rinse after using this. Scent and the texture were good especially the scent. It easily makes the bubble so I can rinse all my hair. Have enjoyed my initial experience. I had heard that shampoo bars lather less than liquid. So far, not the case for me. A few quick rubs around my short hair, and lather forms and lasts. This product does not have the tea tree oil 'tingle' I was expecting, but that's fine. Aroma is mild. Leaves my hair squeaky clean. Some hair care and soap products leave a waxy film, that feels squeaky at first, only to discover that it is a clingy layer. No residue, and my hair does not feel weighed down. Looking forward to seeing how long this bar lasts and how it compares in uses per bar vs. uses per bottle of shampoo. So far, I think it compares favorably. I needed a Vegan, Cruelty-free, plastic-free, nice shampoo bar and this is the best I've found so far. I tried Lush first, but that seemed like a bar of soap. This actually feels like shampoo. I follow it with a conditioner bar as well. Glad I'm not using tons of plastic bottles anymore. Read more

First time to use shampoo bar. Not sure how to interpret the “different outcome “ from liquid shampoos stripping natural oils from hair. It produced more foam than I expected but it rinsed away much easier, much quicker, and more completely than liquid shampoos. I used no conditioner or other products before drying. My hair definitely has the feel of having used a conditioner but more lightweight. I am waiting to see if my hair lasts 3 days before starting to feel oily. I like how much this lathers and feels good to scrub on my scalp. I have short hair and feel like I use way more shampoo than needed so this will last me a while. Glad it's all natural and a bonus that it's a duo. Love the fragrance it's very natural and lite rather than a heavy floral scent. I recommend to all my short hair ladies but seems like it wouldn't be as convenient for longer hair. Read more
