I get that a certain amount of air is needed for these things to work, but there's so much air in the bag that it makes them almost unusable. they do get cold, but they don't stay cold for very long. better than nothing in an emergency though, and for the price its worth it to keep a couple in my car and at my desk. Very compact and hard to bust! Only stayed cold like 6-10 minutes tops. Maybe less. Not for replacement of a real cold pack. Make sure you have more then 3 for a 15 minute cold press. Not impressed with the size pretty small. Read more
Does not stay cold. Even when you first shake the bag and it gets cold there is too much air in it to actually allow the cold to be felt on your skin. Read more

Since it's not cold enough, and apparently has quite a low heat capacity, after 1 - 2 minutes of contact with the skin - should be replaced with a new one.To achieve 15 minutes of first aid cold therapy, i.e. part of RICE - Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate, when you're in the field - you should use three packs and rotate them every couple of minutes. I purchased this product so that I would be able to go back to work after having meniscus surgery on my knee. I am in a Courtroom most of the day And would find it difficult to have access to ice packs so I thought this would be the solution. This product is crap. So happy I tried it out before I decided to try to go to work the first day back using this falsely advertised product. Do not buy. Read more
