I bought one months ago and it was great, bought another but the plastic packaging was open, the towel smelled strongly chemical and bizarre and there was a sticky brown substance spotted all over the outside packaging. Reached out to customer support but weeks have gone by and no response. It killed me to toss one but comparing it to my original purchase it became VERY obvious it was tampered with, and given the global situation couldn't risk it. I bought a couple of these towels in 2008, just before beginning a nomadic lifestyle and embarking on ~2 years of continuous traveling with my husband. Nearly 8 years later, and although I'm not traveling anymore, I literally only use these towels. Regular towels feel like a mean prank in comparison.Functionally, it quickly soaks up a lot of water, which is great since we both have very long hair that drenches regular towels. Especially helpful for scrunching my wet, curly hair without creating frizz. My favorite part is the texture, though! The teeny little microfibers are so soft and don't catch on anything, and don't shed ANY lint! No lint is a beautiful dream come true :) I have sensory processing issues, and texture is huge for me. This towel genuinely makes bathing a more enjoyable experience because of how nice it feels on my skin.I've found that these towels are best put into the dryer right after you're done using them or they can get moldy and start to stink. It's a MUST in humid climates! I love this towel! I have very long hair that ordinarily takes me a long time to dry.The Aquis towel easily cuts drying time in half.The fabric pills quickly though and there’s always something stuck to it with static electricity in the dryer, but that doesn’t effect its usefulness.This is my third Aquis towel purchase—!one wore out over 15 years of daily washing (it now belongs to the dog) and the other was lost, probably left behind in a hotel room somewhere. Luckily they are available in colors now, not just in white so there’s less chance this one will blend in with hotel towels and get left behind.I’ve tried copycat microfiber towels and there really is no comparison. I bought several of these (different sizes, different colors) after it was recommended to me by a friend who highly recommended them. I get it now! I go to the gym and don't have to rent a towel and these dry SO FAST! I'm almost tempted to use it as a home towel too just for the time it saves. Great fabric, works well, washes/dries well.p.s. Don't bother throwing them in the drier -- this actually shrunk some of my shirts that didn't have problems previously. I dry the towels on a dry rack and it seems to be much better. Read more

So I don't usually go for pricey towels, but this was a gift. After reading all the reviews, I was excited to use it- I have thick curly hair that's really long, about halfway down my back, and takes forever to dry. This towel is definitely nice and thin and soft- much softer than I expected, after having used my mom's versions of stuff like this years ago when I still lived at home. And it is more absorbent than a regular bath towel by a good margin. Where I'd used to get out of the shower, wrap my hair up, do my makeup, and then have to take the towel off to blow dry my hair before getting dressed, this towel is thin enough that I can leave it on while I'm getting dressed because it doesn't overstretch the necks of my tops. When I pull my hair out, it is dryer than with a regular towel, although I do still have to hit it with the blow dryer for a little bit to get it dry enough to my liking to leave the house.It doesn't seem to do much for my curls- they've been a little on the frizzy side since I've started using this towel, which I can fix with a little hair serum, but it's something I didn't so much need to do with other towels and a diffuser attachment.Does this product save me time? Yes. Is it a miracle product? No. I like it and I'll continue using it, but I doubt I'll buy another. Also, a word of caution if you dye your hair- the first day I used mine was three days and two shampoos after a color session, and it still sucked some color out of my hair, so now my white towel is stained with red. This isn't a big deal to me because I don't really care what the towel looks like, but just something to know if you're a dye-er, use regular towels for a few shampoos after you dye. And if your hair is much past your shoulders, you're going to want the big one- I can't imagine the smaller one would be anywhere near big enough to cover all my hair. Read more

The Aquis lisse towels are the best I've ever owned. They absorb water quickly and dry faster than any other towel I've tried. They feel great and last forever. I bought some of these towel over seven years ago and they look the same as the ones that just arrived. Also, I have fine, curly hair and the smaller towels dry my hair really well without fraying or knotting it up. I take the smaller towels when I travel just for my hair. I love that all Aquis towels are thin and fold compactly in my luggage. I just wish they made a beach towel size, that would be perfect. But as long as Aquis keeps making towels, I will keep buying them. Read more

I am thrilled with this Aquis towel. I am blown away as to how much liquid it can absorb from both my body and hair. As a hair towel it pretty much makes blow drying a five second task. I have fine to medium shaft hair , but I luckily have a ton of it. I highly recommend this towel. I was a skeptic and couldn’t see how this towel would work any better, but it also seems to enhance the natural hair wave I have by pulling the water away quickly. These are the best travel towels I have ever come across. They are like no towel I have used in that you simply touch them to wet skin and you are dry. Perfect for drying yourself in tiny, hot, steamy shower rooms when camping. They take up far less room than a conventional towel and dry much faster. Read more

I bought this because I have arthritis in my wrist and eventually couldn't hold a conventional bath towel. The Aquis towel is unlike the cheap sports variety.
