The rave reviews for this product persuaded me into buying it, despite it sounding too good to be true. While it certainly looks and feels different than a traditional bath towel, It is nothing but a useless piece of fabric! It normally takes 45 mins to blow dry my hair and 3-4 hours to let it air dry. Prior to this purchase, I had an Aquis towel that is probably 20 years old, very thick and very absorbent, unfortunately it was starting to mold and fray. I decided to go with the same product as I was extremely happy with my last towel and I was hoping for a similar quality. The towel itself is fine, it absorbs the water quickly and is long enough to hold all my hair. However, it is about 1/4th the thickness of my old towel and it doesn't absorb as well and nor do I think it will last as long. On its own its a great towel. I've used this brand of microfiber towel for over a year and it does absorb more moisture than a regular teri cloth towel therefore I have to use less heat to blow dry my hair. The difference is significant enough I cannot go back to using a bath towel and even pack a microfiber towel to take on trips. It works best if you leave it on for a bit and would work even faster if it was slightly thicker. However, this version with the smooth surface has a musty odor when wet that I cannot get rid of even after repeated washings. I also have the waffle textured towel and that doesn't have the same problem. I have very thick, coarse shoulder length hair and the size of the towel is just big enough to wrap all my hair. Let me preface this by saying I saw an ad for this on a BuzzFeed listicle that prompted me into buying this. It will be the last time I trust a review highlighted in one of their articles. This towel did not dry my hair faster, in fact, it actually retained more water (I did as the instructions said and actually ended up falling asleep for a few hours with my hair wrapped the first time, took it off and was incredibly disappointed that my hair was wetter than it normally would have been had I just allowed it to air dry). On top of that, this material differs from the microfiber cleansing and cleaning materials that I have that actually do what they are supposed to so I’m thinking this is some sort of faux-microfiber material that has agitated my scalp. I was so excited to get this & equally disappointed after using it the first time. Talk about a waste of money. It's super thin, takes forever to dry & although I bought the larger version it is barely big enough to wrap all of my hair which us barely below my shoulders. What I found odd was all the reviews before my purchase were great then afterwards I saw a ton of unsatisfied buyers just like me saying the same thing. I purchased three microfibre towels to see which one I liked the best. This was my least favourite out of the three. It’s still a great towel however not as big as the other two and I didn’t like the feel of it as much. The other two were the Duracomfort and Bondi.
