I never wrote bad review on any purchased items from Amazon but this will be my first. I read all the wonderful comments from folks that own the andis 2 spd & say these clippers cut like butter even though the thickest coats. Well I though this would be the ticket for clipping our F! Goldendoodle. When the clipper arrived it came in a nice plastic case with oil & a #10 blade include. I first cut our dog down with a scissors & brushed here out before I tried the clipper. What a struggle but I finished. Her second cut I watched a online videos to see I might be doing something wrong. Nothing. I then spoke to a rep for andis & she said send then back cause the clippers were still under warranty, so I did. When they retuned they were shipped back to me in a little card board box that the clippers barely fit in. What happened to case & oil? All I got was a note saying they sharpened the blades. I should have stopped there but I ordered a # 3.5 & then a #5 blades thinking if I leave the hair a little longer the clippers will work. NOT! Clippers & blades I'm out almost $170 & the warranty is up. What do I do now you ask. Still give the doodle a trim with a scissors than send the wife up to the dollar store to purchase a $9.99 basic Conair clipper. Good for 1 - 2 clips & I don't have to struggle trying cause I just put on the combs for the desired cut..& NOT a down to the skin only cut. Buyer Beware! Lesson Learned. P.S these clippers are said to be two speeds. Funny how they ran so slow or did I receive someone else's return. Makes me wonder. Read more

I am the proud mom of a Shih Tzu and Cocker Spaniel. Both of my babies get very anxious about hair cuts and they are especially anxious about their legs/feet and face. After getting complaints from the groomer about how hard it is to groom them and having to start medicating them for their anxiety in order to groom them, I decided it would much less stressful for them if I started grooming them at home, not to mention the money it saves. A friend of mine loaned me a pair of the standard economy clippers and I used those for over a year. I didn't realize how poorly they worked until I got these. I would spend several hours on one dog and my back would hurt so badly I could barely move the next day. The blades didn't cut very well and without the guard they would nick the skin. They made a lot of noise and got hot quickly. I was using detachable guards on them so that helped some with the heat. I finally decided that if I was going to continue to groom them myself that I had to invest in a pair of quality clippers. All I can say is wow! why did I wait so long to get these. First they are really quiet and that helps the fur babies to not be so anxious. Also, they cut like a dream. These came with a size 10 blade which is currently the only one I have, but I will be adding a couple more blade sizes to the collection. The cord on these is really long so you should not have a problem with them reaching. The blade is detachable and I found it easy to remove the blade even for an amateur like myself. The blades do not heat up nearly as quick or as much as the old set I was using. However, I recommend purchasing some of the cooling spray or extra blades so you don't burn your animal.Andis is one of the two top names in pet grooming clippers and in my opinion they are the best. I have absolutely no complaints about these clippers. I love them. They just zip right through the double coat of my Cocker. I highly recommend these clippers for anyone who is going to groom their dogs. They are an investment, but I have spent the same amount of money on just one visit for my two dogs. Do yourself and your dogs a favor and get these. You will not be disappointed. I ordered these through Amazon Warehouse in new condition. Read more

I docked one star for the condition of the package. The clippers themselves are great but the box arrived seriously damaged and obviously opened. I don't know if this was the fault of Amazon or the seller but if buying as a gift, consider another seller. Should have been labeled as opened. The blade had been obviously oiled with the accompanying oil. I chose to keep the unit because I will be using a different blade. I have used this once to cut my very thick coated Poodle. In comparison to the What clippers I have been using, and it's night and day, It took about 2 hours off her grooming time. I am not a professional but I've been grooming her for 9 years after 3 bad professional groomer experiences. It is heavier than my other clipper but I mostly got used to it. You won't end up holding it for as long. It does have some vibration, but pretty equal to any other clippers I've used. Maybe even less. The vibration must FEEL less since she didn't try to pull away when shaving her face. There is almost no noise to it. Before when having the TV on when grooming, I had to turn up the volume. Nice feature. I ran it for about 2 hours and it never got hot/warm to hold. Unlike a few others I have used. Do consider your blade choices. Any review on the actual sharpness of the blade, will only be in response to the included blade. I tend to use ceramic blades, however, I have two blades that are the same make of blade that is included, just different sizes. These blades WILL get hot and relatively fast. I test them often when using them and with them out as soon as it't even remotely warm. I can't attest to longevity yet but will update if anything changes. Read more

I am extremely happy with this product. My groomer had trouble getting her clipper through my dogs fur and often had to cut them closer than I wanted. Since I shot this clipper, I have gone back to grooming my pets myself and let me tell you, cutting issues do not exist. I have owned serveal other pet clipped over the last 20 years, this one is easily the best one. I love the fact that it is also very quiet, does not get hot quickly and has a very long cord which makes it easy to maneuver. Read more

I have been using this exact model of clippers for over a decade! They are my absolute favorite. I love the way they fit in my hand, they're lightweight, and they were build to last forever! I was so happy to see this particular clipper was still available when my clippers finally gave up the ghost. Not a face of the other models of Andis, but love the quality the comapny puts into their devices. They shipped fast, and the price was excellent. Used them all day today, so I never had to skip a beat at my busy grooming business. Read more

These are one of the best and strongest blades on the market. I’ve used these blades for well over 10yrs with two dogs. Cut once every 6-8 weeks, full coats. These glide through like butter. Remember to pick up the oil and lube them regularly. Or use the spray can model. They do heat/warm up but I had two sets of blades for the sizes. One for coat and another for paws/face. It’s a lot of money but these paid for themselves after a couple uses. Going to the groomers would be costly and sad for my little guys. Much quicker as long as you know what your doing. Check on YouTube if you need tutorials. Only reason I got new ones now is, yes, been over 13yrs in my case. My dogs still here! You splurge on a new phone, get the blades. That’s right, add to cart... your welcome! Read more

Le cordon est long et ça aide. Il n'est pas bruyant. Read more
