Do not purchase this clipper here on Amazon. If you read through other customer responses, you will notice numerous customers saying they received their clippers used or not in the newest condition. This is true. I recently just purchased mine and the box seemed already open.. When I turned on the clippers it wouldn't stop making a loud noise even after reading through the warnings and instructions on how to adjust it to stop the noise. Moreover, the lever on this clipper is extremely stiff and difficult to move up and down... Now I have to go through the work of returning it. All I can say is there is a reason why these clippers on Amazon is significantly cheaper than the ones on the original Andis website. Came fast. Brand new. Came ready to cut, blades set well and motor calibrated right out the box. I've been cutting my own hair for over ten years. It helped me to get a crisp bald fade. This calliper is absolute garbage, I don’t why Amazon keep selling this. After my 10th time of use start making loud noises and can’t adjust it like was before, for some reason when I turn the adjusting bolt and make it more quieter, one of the blades goes sideways..., it’s complete nightmare! These clippers are heavy and the blades feel very cheap against my scalp. I returned it because the blades kept clipping my skin and making me bleed. This does not happen with my $40 pair of clippers. I purchased these thinking they’d be smoother and feel professional but they feel like a heavy pair of $10 clippers from a Chinese flea market. This thing was extremely loud when I got it, to the point where I was scared that I would damage my son’s hearing from it. Was going to return it because of that, but realized it was my mistake after reading the manual. Adjusted the power dial on the side and the noise went down. After returning the item back 3 times I finally received one that was not broken in some sort of way by not turning on, blades not running, or broken teeth, besides that the andis fade masters is awesome this is my first pair that I own and they cut amazing you can hear the every single hair cut, the blade just cuts right through the hair like nothing.
