I am definitely not a professional barber but due to way pricey cuts I had to learn how to cut my own hair. Tried them all from the Walmart clippers to Wahl and Andis budget buys.Keeping this shortPros: Even cut all around the head no matter the adjustment - powerful moter will cut through thick hair but won't over vibrate in the hand - adjustable blade (recommend buying the attachments) - Long thick cord -Cons: This clipper is heavy (for those that don't cut hair for a living you will notice the heft of this beast) - there is absolutely no grip (the housing is smooth) and may start to slip as hand tires - Yes the rumors are true these clippers get warm (not terrible but letting it rest every 10 min helps) - It doesn't cut as close as I thought even on 0 setting (I recommend the Headliner II for really close trim, blending and lines) -All said these clippers are decent and cut nice and even especially on the fade but if you practice, practice, and practice some more you can make cheap Walmart clippers do a nice fade and styleThanks, hope this helps Read more

*review from a licensed professional using these in a barbershop, giving 10-16 cuts per day*would give zero stars if i could, ordered these because my coworkers who use them love theirs. They constantly get clogged, even after cleaning them out, the screws continually come loose and make a horrendous noise, and 2 months later? they don't even turn on. but oh, you can't return after 30 days. don't waste your money. I am a barber student I got these clippers to help do bald fades and have an extra clipper when my Whal Seniors heat up. They are great for fades u can blend out lines easily. Clippers sound great when cutting they do not heat up to quickly they feel great in the hand very minimal vibration. The have a nice weight and want to rock naturally when doing heal toe. Very happy with purchase I have done over 50 haircuts so far. I wish andis had other guards. I like my masters better than my Wahl seniors but find myself using the seniors more because I like the Wahl gaurds better. Read more

so I bought the professional model to replace my wahl sears purchase in 2001. in less than 3 years it is done. won't cut, jambs up. this was 3 times the cost of the wahl model, but didn't last a third of the time. I cut my hair every 3 weeks or so and keep it clean and oiled. Back to Wahl. Read more

Wow. Bought this for my son for his 18th birthday, he wanted clippers like the $20 Oster I bought at jc penny in 1993, I read and these seemed a step up. But wow, open the box these are just gorgeous aluminum, great weight and not so loud. Almost as impressive is that they cut closer than my old oster so there’s less don johnson. We’re now going to horrify our son by getting them engraved with some saying we think is cool. Read more

the main reason i got this trimmer was because of the 5 dots by the lever that help you get a good fade. But when I got mine the lever didn't go all he way to the last dot which makes it harder to get a good length on the trimmer. I sent it in to andis for repair which cos me $60 shipping and had a description of what was wrong like he asked me for in he box, but the sen it back unfixed and old me he sharpened it. it was a brand new trimmer and didn't need sharpened, and i could even feel it pull on m hair after that so basically the dulled it out for me. When i asked to talk to a manager about the whole thing he wouldn't let me! Read more

I can't believe it's been 8 years, and the main clipper motor is going strong. I cut my hair and beard every month, #2 clipper all around, trim ears and neck with no guard. 20$ haircuts x 12 months x 8 years = 1920$ saved, not even counting facial hair costs; razors, blades, soaps or even logistics time for appointments; scheduling, travel, waiting.I just ordered new replacement blades, but I probably should have done that sooner, maybe around the 4 year mark. I tried sharpening the blades myself a few times. 1 tooth snapped at some point. The blades do have a little rust, carbon steel, it happens. I could have oiled them better, but the room does get humid. Even buying new blades once a year, you are still saving money. The clipper does get warm, even hot, if you take too long. It can get really noisy, but that means something is wrong. It needs oil, cleaned, or adjusted. There is some slop in the top blade position, which I always push forward. That way, the bottom blade interacts with the widest (strongest) portion of the top blades, and you are less likely to bend/crack a tooth. Read more

This is the worst experience i ever had with amazon i didn't even know it was possible... ** LOOK AT PICTURES ** The product is far from brand new. When i open the package and look at the clipper there was scratches everywhere.. the worst is when i found "unknown" kind of hair in and out of the cutting erea and on the blade or screws. DISGUSTING !!! Read more

The first set I ordered came with hair in the box- so it was obviously a used and returned product which was then passed off on to me.Needless to say I sent it back. I was sent a replacement model, but I have found this one to be very loud- gets a very loud, sharp buzzing noise which is really shocking. I've oiled them, readjusted but not any better. Plus, these clippers get hot. Not sure if these are defective, but I'm really unhappy with them. I've been cutting hair professionally for 15 years and I'm not sure why these clippers get such great reviews. Wish I could return these but I was so discouraged with the second set I let too much time pass trying to make them work, and now I've had them for too long to return. I've had them for over a year now and I don't even bother picking them up and trying to use them anymore. What a waste. Read more

Much quieter than the previous "consumer" grade trimmer that I had and used for over 5 years. There is a loud click when you first turn it on, but after that, it's just a quiet hum. Cut super fast and the fine / coarse adjustment works well and stay in position. The provided oil should be a much bigger sized bottle, than the tiny little drop bottle that's given. Since after every hair cut one should ideally immerse the trimmer in oil to clear-out all the hair stuck between the blades. Read more

This product is labeled and sold as "New" but the clippers I received had literal fingerprints on them along with some hair in and around the blade, clearly indicating they've been used. Although I read the reviews about other consumers receiving used product; I chalked if off as unlikely and maybe they got unlucky with their package.. But after also receiving used product I just don't know anymore how this posting is still available when it's clearly misleading and is very untruthful business. I will be contacting Amazon for an exchange to hopefully receive brand NEW clippers as advertised.. Read more
