Our household uses a number of Solimo brand products so when my significant other ran out of mouthwash I immediately checked to see if Solimo made mouthwash. I was happy to find this refreshing mint mouthwash which contained fluoride but was also alcohol free as it seems all mouthwash has alcohol in it these days. The bottle is a 1 liter bottle and is large. You only use 2 teaspoons of this mouthwash at a time so this bottle will last a long time. The mouthwash itself is a pretty blue color. The lid makes it easy to dispense the mouthwash but we use disposable medicine cups instead of the lid due to germs that could grow on the lid with repeated use.The flavor of this refreshing mint mouthwash is interesting. It doesn't taste like mint at all. Instead it tastes like cinnamon. There is a strong cinnamon flavor to this mouthwash. Luckily neither myself nor my significant other dislike cinnamon so this was no big deal, but we were looking for a mint flavored mouthwash. They tell you to swish the mouthwash around in your mouth for one minute and then spit it out. I find that I can only stand the taste for about 45 seconds before I have to spit it out. My significant other on the other hand swishes it around in his mouth for one and a half minutes. This mouthwash has all of the usual warnings found on most brands of mouthwash. Not intended for children under 6 years old, do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after rinsing your mouth out, use twice daily after brushing, and supervise children under 12 while they use this product.Active ingredient: Sodium Fluoride 0.02% (0.01% with Fluoride Ion)Inactive ingredients: Water; Glycerin; Flavor; Cetylpyridinium Chloride; Sodium Saccharin; Phosphoric Acid; Sodium Benzoate; Sucralose; Poloxamer #407; Benzoic Acid; Disodium Phosphate; Propylene Glycol; and Blue #1At the end of the day the Solimo mouthwash is a good value. I was hoping for a mint flavor, but there's a strong cinnamon taste instead. This is not a big enough problem to lower my rating of this product. Read more
This mouth wash tastes fine and seems to work pretty well. A lot of reviewers seem to be worried about the fake sugar content (sodium saccharin and sucralose), this is a very normal practice and all the major brands use them; Crest, Listerine, Scope, and Act all use them. I give this 2 stars for a single VERY important reason. Written on the bottle is the following: "This rinse may cause temporary staining to the surface of teeth. This is not harmful, and adequate brushing may prevent its occurrence."After using this mouth wash, my teeth had a blue tint to them. It doesn't last too long, it is definitely not permanent, but it does look horrible while it lasts. I thoroughly rinsed my mouth out with water 3 times afterwards and that did not seem to help. I also do not appreciate the gaslighting in "adequate brushing may prevent its occurrence." This product just needs significantly less dye in it... I do have thin enamel that stains easily; maybe it won't be a problem for you. Read more
I haven’t used mouthwash in years and recently found out I had many cavities so I thought I would give it a try. It came sealed, as it should, with mouthwash spilling out on all sides, as it most definitely should not. Yes that’s right, it spilled even with the seal on! How does that even happen?! I guess the cap wasn’t screwed all the way on and so it leaked out. Poor packaging and I’m sure that’s happened to other people as well. Not too much was gone but overall I wasn’t happy about that. It got the packaging wet too. Then there’s the after taste... blech. It tastes fine when I swish it in the mouth, light mint I would say, but the after taste is not good and it leaves my taste buds feeling icky for hours. I don’t know how to describe the feeling it leaves on my taste buds other than splitting them. It literally feels like they’re standing up on their toes, which does happen to me sometimes with other mouthwashes too, especially the alcoholic ones. To summarize; flavor is fine, light and minty, and the bad would include poor packaging with liquid leaking out, bad after taste and it makes my taste buds feed uncomfortable afterward. Nope nope I will not be purchasing again. Read more
I was so unhappy reading the label which stated that it could stain teeth! Read more
The first time I ordered this a couple months ago, the taste was great. I ordered a second time this week and the taste is very different and aligns with other reviews talking about bad taste. I think this explains why some reviews say the taste is great and others say it's horrible -- it's hit or miss. The bottle with good taste has "0494192 EXP 07/2022 212 17:18" stamped on it and the bottle with bad taste has "0517869 EXP 01/2023 008 20:01" stamped on it. Both have an identical front and back labels listing the same ingredients. Read more
This would be a good product except for the bad aftertaste it has that lasts a long time. Other solimo products I've used have been great so I thought this would be a no-brainer. Unfortunately, right after using it, I get an aftertaste that reminds me of chemicals like when you're getting a dental procedure done and you accidentally taste the adhesive or compound they're using. Pretty unpleasant. And it lasts for hours and affects the taste of foods. I panicked that I'd gotten COVID because I thought I was losing my sense of taste but it turned out it was just that the aftertaste of this mouthwash overpowered the taste of the food I was eating. Going back to Act mouthwash. Read more
