I will say I think menthol is an extremely odd choice for sun burn relief...but that has little impact, if any, on how the product performs.If you’ve used any type of aloe Vera type gel in the past, you’re familiar with how this works....It goes on wet, and coats the burned area. After awhile it dries into your skin, so it’s not something that will bother you all day.It provides a fair amount of relief, and my family was grateful for it after getting too much sun one afternoon. This stuff is great! It cools and numbs the skin within seconds. The aloe is enhanced with Lidocaine & Menthol and this stuff works. Just please, please could you make it clear? I went out fishing yesterday and my arms got burnt to a crisp. Got home and knew I needed something to help with the pain I was going to have when I woke up the next morning. I ordered this for overnight delivery. I woke up and my sunburn was hot and irritated. I saw this was delivered and used it on my arms and it helped greatly.It did not burn going on and felt cool. The pain reliver in it takes care of the irritation for about 4-5 hours before another application is needed.Only thing is it feels a little sticky on my hands after I use it. My arms do not have a problem with it because I am not using them to touch anything. I am not burnt on the palms of my hands so I just wash it off and everything feels okay.I am amazed how well this product worked. Would buy again if needed. Read more

I love this product! I purchased this right before a trip to Moab, anticipating burns as I am very pale and burn with or without sunscreen. As expected, I got a bit of a sunburn, and this was excellent in management after! The cooling effect is very pleasant. I didn't notice any numbing from the lidocaine, but my sunburn wasn't painful and I'm sure this product is the thank. This is fantastic for a bad burn. It helps alleviate the pain with a nice cool feeling and the lidocaine. Plus there's a lot of it for a good price, so you can slather it on without feeling guilty.I use this the first day or so after a burn, mostly when it's still actively radiating pain and heat. I think it's important to use an actual moisturizing cream in addition to heal the skin. This will help relieve the pain, but I think you need more to restore moisture and repair the skin. Read more

I love this lotion. I use it for my Restless Leg Syndrome, because of the aloe vera and lidocaine content. It really helps tame it for a little while, at least. I rub the residue into my arthritic hands. It doesn't help so much with that. I imagine this would be good for sunburn as its very cooling. The scent from the menthol is not overpowering to me and it seems to fade quickly. They run out of it fast, so don't hesitate to buy. The price has just gone up, too. So its stretching my meager fixed budget. I hope this is the last price increase for awhile. Demand should go down once summer is over. Read more

I ordered 2 of this Sun Gel. The first one to arrive was packed with 4 air pillow inserts and was intact.   As far as the product is concerned, it smells more medicated and feels more medicated than the skin gel I bought last year here at Amazon: " Ocean Potion Ice Skin Repair." I am happy that Amazon now has its own generic-type "Over The Counter" products such as this , Solimo After Sun Gel, it is a good product and affordable. (Someone in the shipping department needs to pack liquid products like this one better than how they send my second bottle; broken!) Overall, I like the product, it was affordable, it was better than other brands I have tried, I would recommend it to anyone who needs a cooling skin gel and I definitely will buy it again.
