While I find the scent "refreshing" .. it is more of a "mouth" smell than hair. Maybe it is the basil?Work into the wet curls .. does a descent job on them, but you have to use a lot on my daughter's waist length hair .. so not cost effective for us, it is just too thick for so much hair.Good ingredient list, lots of healthy sounding ingredients .. but where are they sourced from?I think this would be better for heavy braids, thick hair styles, and shorter curls. Ingredient wise, it’s pretty good but the smell is that of kid’s Crest toothpaste which is fine until you realize what it smells like and you can never unsmell it. I tried it on my and my daughter’s hair and it was okay. It left our hair a little crunchy. I tried it on my son’s curly hair and it actually worked really nice on his hair. This is a soft hold curl definer for thick hair that can be used alone or with their gel for a firmer hold. I prefer to use it alone because I like the soft hold and the way it makes my hair feel. It smells really good and it's gentle and non-drying. It's made with a blend of cupuacu butter, marshmallow, and Vitamin E to protect from breakage and control frizz so those with nut allergies finally have a curl definer they can use.Men, women and children can use this product. I tested this by air drying my hair. I am not one for fussing since I work from home and very rarely (thankfully) have to have my camera on.That being said, my hair looks really nice! This controlled the fizz and fuzziness that is my natural (chemo induced) curl and after gently running a comb through my hair I would confidently turn on the camera for a work meeting. I'm quite pleased! I used just a small amount and will play with the volume I used but I do believe I nailed it this morning. My hair is soft, static free and is holding a very nice curl. Read more

My niece has curly hair, with more of her AA natural texture being more prevalent. When she washes and conditions her hair and leaves it damp, she adds a finger scoop of this and her hair looks and feel soft, shiny and moisturized. She has eczema so she's very careful with what she uses. This has not given her any type of allergic reactions on her scalp or neck and shoulders area. This curl-enhancing butter creme by Alodia is very nice. I found it to make my hair soft. As for the odor, I couldn't smell much, but it might just be that my sinuses aren't working well. I've used just a little to spread through my barely damp hair, and it did do a nice job of refreshing my hair. This product makes my hair so soft and smooth that I absolutely love how my hair feels after using it. It does "poof" out my hair a bit, which means that it's doing what it's meant to do but frankly, I won't be using this everyday because I don't need extra volume.
