Due to hand dexterity disability issues, I was unable to use the hospital provided scissors to cut the wafer to the proper size for my stoma bag. This was a great hardship as it needs to be done every 3 days and I could not afford to hire a nurse to do it. These scissors were a godsend. It’s primary use is for cutting skin barrier products. They’re so sharp and perfectly balanced that I can cut through just about anything including my toenails. For somebody with hands crippled by arthritis and gout, they are a God send. Read more

The scissors are sharp but definitely not blunt. If you have a two piece ileostomy bag and need to cut the wafer, they would be fine.I ordered "blunt" because I have a 1 piece, and need to not nick the pouch. Just rubbing against the pouch left a weakened spot that caused a leak. Read more
