This is an absolutely terrible product. I had read about it in a magazine and was interested to find a product that was supposed to also be a bit better for the environment since I love to Scuba. I used it for the first time yesterday while in Mexico and not even in the water. I used it simply sitting out at a pool. I liberally put it on. I burned in blotches all over my body as if sweat carried the sunscreen right out of areas. I look ridiculous and the burn is quite painful. I have not been burned in over 20 years and live in a warm weather climate-Texas. I have never taken the time to write a review on Amazon before but felt compelled to do so over this product. We were traveling to Hawaii where they have made a big push for reef safe sunscreen. So I researched to find a couple to try. This was one that came highly recommended on several websites so I bought it. And it worked perfectly for me. Too well in fact, you couldn't even tell I had seen sunlight after a week of extreme sun exposure. Unfortunately, it didn't do anything for my husband who looked like a well done lobster after a few hours in the sun while using this sunscreen. I liked the texture and smell of this sunscreen really well and would definitely use it again, on me. Really nice and thin. Spreads easily and is not “pasty.” I am allergic to chemical sunscreens and I have to admit that it’s been a struggle to find a metal oxide-based sunscreen that doesn’t make me look like Mark Zuckerburg hiding from the paparazzi. If you’re translucent like me, you’ll appreciate the sun protection from this. But, this is it! It works well, but of course to remember to reapply frequently. I bought this sunscreen because hyram recommended it in one of his sunscreen videos. It has a slight white cast, but not as drastic as some others I've seen. It doesn't break out my skin either. However, it has a slightly weird scent to it and its not that spreadable. To me, these things aren't too important to me but if they are to you, you might want to reconsider. I experienced one of THE WORST SUNBURNS of my life using this product. I honestly think it attracted the sun. I applied thick, even layers every hour because I'm fair and am very careful. It did NOTHING to protect my skin from the sun. I had to take pain medication - it was THAT BAD. This should be pulled from the market. It worked to keep me from burning in Hawaii. I like that it is good for the oceans. It did leave me a little "white" when applied, but bit as bad as some people said. You have to play with the amounts...too little and it does not spread...too much and it is hard to rub in. I didn't use it on my face, as I found that when I applied makeup over it I looked like I had white clown makeup on (but it didn't look like that before I put on makeup, weird). Overall I recommend it for when in the water, but then go to a more traditional sunscreen for general purposes. Read more

I bought this sunscreen for a trip to the Caribbean, where reef-safe sunscreen is a must. Not only is it reef-safe, it is safe for humans as well, using a physical rather than chemical screen. The ingredients do not irritate my skin nor my eyes, which is one problem with chemical sunscreens. This brand is also rated well by the Environmental Working Group. This lotion goes on smoothly and absorbs well into the skin, avoiding the chalky look one can get from zinc based products. I highly recommend it. Read more
