Actually gave me considerable relief from my osteoarthritis pain and even more importantly a strained rotater cuff that's been giving me agony to the point that I've been unable to sleep. Didn't even realize it until I scratched the back of neck absentmindedly... Something I've been unable to do for over a week now. I have tried them all for my lower back and leg pains because of my MS and poor mobility.This Advil II knocks out the pain in my lower back and leg muscles, and also silences or calms down that part of the brain that sends those pain alerts.I have never had anything over the counter that has given me this much relief. Somewhat odd dosage, since most ibuprofen comes in 200mg. So the 250mg is slightly more than one normal ibuprofen, but the 500mg is a high-dosage acetaminophen. And that 250mg/500mg dosage requires two of these pills. Yes, they advise that, but it's hidden in the detailed description. But you still have to take two pills, so what's the benefit? And these combo pills cost several times as much as separate ibuprofen and acetaminophen. IMO, a waste of money. Read more
Wow! It was rainy and very cold a day ago but luckily this Dual Action Advil had arrived.Not long after I took it, maybe 1/2hr or so - my painful joints were pain free and they still are a day later. I mentioned this Advil to my doctor today and she told me the combination of these 2 pain relievers is as good at relieving pain as some narcotics. It really worked well for me. Do read the directions and warnings. For me, this Advil works better than 2 plain extra strength Advil or 2 plain Tylenol. It Works! Read more
I have suffered for lower back and thoracic back pain and stiffness for the last 30+ years.Meloxicam used to be good, but became ineffective last year for some reason. Motrin was my next port of call and it does help. However Advil Dual Action is the most effective pain relief I've had during the most recent 3 month period of back issues. Took two tablets last night and again this morning and I have zero back pain, during my early morning stretching exercises I could tell how much more relaxed and free moving my muscles and joints are. I haven't felt this good in over 3 months.One of the best things to come out of 2020!So much safer than taking Tramadol when the pain becomes unbearable. Now I know the correct balance of Acetaminophen and ibuprofen I can make my own dual action pain relievers in the future with generic tablets. Read more
I have lived with chronic pain for 25 years, five spine surgeries, a Maisonneuve fracture with resulting surgery, a near-catastrophic fall that broke 11 bones and punctured my lung, migraine & cervicogenic headaches, and sciatica & piriformis syndrome so taking pain medication has been a huge part if my life. I take regularly prescribed pain meds and muscle relaxers and a monthly injectable for my headaches so taking too much heavy-duty pain medication is not something I relish but when I first read about Advil Dual-action I was skeptical but encouraged, an OTC that would eliminate one OTC for something that contained two? My migraines are under control with my injectable prescription but when I started to have a cervicogenic headache I was hopeful, hopeful that this new Advil Dual would give me the same relief as Excedrin Migraine but also the relief that ibuprofen would offer and Advil Dual has checked all the boxes!! Added bonus when my sciatica/Piriformis syndrome rears its ugly head the Advil Dual calms the muscle cramps while my muscle relaxer calms down the sciatic nerve. I am on the lowest dosage possible for my prescription pain medication and adding Advil Dual along with my other prescriptions I am finally pain-free enough to get back to as normal pain-free life as I can.
